Nah, get a job and pay over time (the right thing) or declare bankruptcy (the practical thing). Remember that paying off a defaulted debt over 10 years will actually hurt your credit a LOT more than just deciding early on to declare bankruptcy and move on. Credit card companies and other debtors seem not to notice this, but I advise most of my clients that if you can't be completely free of debt within 5 years, ditch the debt now (bankruptcy) and in 5 years you actually WILL be free of it. If you try to pay it off, in 5 years you'll still have shitty credit and it won't get better until you've been clear for several more.
