I don't know. I have seen people claiming that for over a year now. Everyone was certain mainnet would release in the summer 2018 and then in the fall 2018 but nothing happened. I don't think the price will increase significantly after mainnet and instead it will be a gradual process while mainnet matures. That's why I think there's 1 year left to accumulate around the $1-$5 range.
