I made a thread on here 2 weeks ago. I told you I would be back and make another thread with this "tripcode" and this exact image.

Today was quite the eventful day for Chainlink. I've had my glass of wine and now I feel like having some fun with the lot of you. This is how it will work, 50 comments and I will release something of news for you. Feel free to ask any questions you have and I will try to answer them to the best of my ability/knowledge.

I'm actually more qualified to talk about this than most anons.I'm employed with a cyber-techno machinations company, I do a lot of security analyst programming type work. Open source, decentralized, APIs, partnerships, you name it. We'd be one of the first companies in line for something like Chainlink, if the decentralized smart contract space had more value over traditional data exchanges. There's a catch though, an underlying flaw more deeply embedded in the bedrock of LINK than the very code itself. The flaw is with the concept, and it's this: Companies won't actually go through the hassle of trusting their data API's through crypto.

Now I can already hear your keyboards going frantic, but hear me out. /biz/ hates banks, and traditional data providers. But actual companies, businesses, and investors do not. There's an old saying you might have heard of: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!". The idea that any of our bosses would give us the go ahead if we approached them to put our companies valuable data in a smart contract on a cryptocurrency called Chainlink, that they've never heard of, we'd be laughed out at best and fired on the spot at worst. We already have API data buyers and providers we trust.

'But Chainlink is trustless!' I hear you cry, but is that really a good thing? Just listen to the sound of it. Businesses don't want to spend millions of dollars on something that is trustLESS, they want something trustFUL. 'But the reputation system!', doesn't that defeat the whole point of your coin? If companies only trust nodes with high reputation, what's the difference between trusting banks and data providers that already have reputation, but in real life not on a computer screen.

The fact is, LINK is going to share the same fate as ETH will. A lot of 'real world application' hype, with a lot of 'crypto world application' reality. Only, this billion supply coin isn't going to come close to the $1k that Etherum hit. Happy gambling though anons.

Thomas told us in slack that Sergey pushes for the coffee standard in every meeting. Swift were excited for a moon to pump their bags but Sergey always talks them down by repeating coffee standard over and over again in a really loud voice and throwing hot cups of coffee at them. He then shouts get it??? and leaves the meeting. Swift executives are not sure what to make of it but they stopped serving coffee at the meetings so Sergey always buys like ten cups and has adelyn carry them in and hide them in the meeting room right before the meetings.

In the next version of the chainlink white paper, nicknamed the coffee paper, Sergey takes a page out of Joyce's novels and writes coffee standard over and over again. The Coffee Paper is said to be Sergey's last word on the price of link. Sergey says that tethering the price of link to shitty American coffee is the best way to ensure Americans understand chainlink. During his time in the USA Sergey says that he misses his homeland and feels he must dumb down link for the American audience. Sergey is adamant that if Americans understand they need link just like they need watery coffee twelve times a day, the future of link is secure.

Some of the swift staff are European and find American coffee awful. This is why Adelyn is so important during sensitive meetings. She finds out the nationality of the members and goes to get the coffee ( Sergey can't be seen in public before a meeting as he places his body in a deep state of mediation). Without Adelyn who would get the coffee??? You really think Rory's wife is going to allow him to do something like that? Rory can barely leave the house because his wife has him under virtual house arrest. That's why he took the job of community manager. Adelyns role is much more important of course.

Adelyn has to know what coffees will sell the coffee standard to the executives in the meetings. Sergey sometimes has trouble keeping it together and often nods off during meetings. Thomas told us in slack that Adelyn keeps a small metal pole in her purse to nudge him gently before he starts to snore. If Adelyn isn't paying attention she diverts attention by offering additional coffees that she previously hid around the room. Swift executives are always bemused by coffees appearing from behind pot plants or taken down from the ceiling or sticky taped under the table. The coffees also help to keep Sergey awake enough to continue his presentation.

Sergey does need a, according to several leading psychologists, a "wild" combination of psychotics and barbiturates. This keeps his brain slowed down enough to communicate with other humans. The only other human being Sergey has been able to communicate freely with is vitalik. Thomas told us in slack that Sergey finds interactions with normal people frustrating because they can't keep up. The meds help to lower his cognitive processes so he is able to speak at a normal volume and speed. The side effect of course is that Sergey is always incredibly bored. The leading experts have been unable to solve this problem.

According to Thomas the breadcrumbs thing started after Sergey would go to the bakery before everyone else came in and sprinkle day old bread over all the keyboards in the office. Then he would leave a trail of crumbs to implicate the alleged. Sergey's office at chainlink HQ is completely glass because "he has nothing to hide" and from his vantage he enjoys watching his team argue and blame each other for the breadcrumbs. after Sergey has finished giggling to himself he goes out and restores calm. After all a good boss knows when enough is enough.

Sergey's volume control is not the best. Adelyn said it's like his knob is broken and he can't control the volume. He's always been like that and would sometimes scare people on campus by coming up behind them and shouting their name. Adelyn feels Sergey's little project is good and she doesn't mind working nights and weekends to help out. Sergey wanted her full-time but she said that link isn't that serious but she would be happy to help. This is why marketing is always rushed and sloppy. Adelyn has been too busy waging at another company to really focus on link. English is her second language too so when she wakes mistakes it would be racist to point it out. Sergey likes having her at the office because he gets a two bonuses from the government.

Sergey doesn't value gold. When Steve got Sergey a gold ring for hiring him Sergey threw it away in disgust and shouted at him that philosophers don't value material things. Thomas told us in slack that Sergey installed special lockers just outside the office and makes all the team remove any jewelry before they begin work. He even spent some of the ico money getting metal detectors for the guards with special instructions that they were to "pay close attention to any shining metals that would dare enter his sanctuary". Thomas told us in slack that Sergey feels a sense of enlightenment being unadorned by material things because he would rather focus on connecting the value of his "digital internet money cubes" to "warm dark liquid" because that will seal the gap between the ideal world and the material.

He was just wearing a sparkling purple suit with a big hat and an unbuttoned shirt that revealed his pecs and chest hair, very vulgar display... I think he doesn't even know what a blockchain is. After the show I went up to him to ask if Steve was still working on aggregation, he just shook his hands very fast very close to my face and tried to change the subject, "don't worry about aggravation, I'm a ninja, look at my moves". I was ready to leave but my gf realized she was missing one shoe, I turned around and I saw Dan was burying his nose into it and sniffing it with a big grin on his face, I don't even know how he stole it in the first place. >> No.12924281

The team has been in recent talks with a major player in the US banking industry (I will go ahead and say top 10 banks in the US because I do not want to give too much away that could lead back. The team has been quite close-lipped in regards to this as there have been some NDA’s signed). The derivatives soft-launch will be a test period for whether the player wants to proceed with the implementation of smart-contracts into their framework. When I say this, I do not mean that there will be full implementation on main net launch. This soft-launch will expose the bank to smart-contracts and how the framework will operate given a trustless execution environment. The build up of these “contracts” will take some time, as you can imagine the coding needed to provide a seamless transition into a fully operable system will not be done overnight, and no one is willing to waste resources on building a complete system without at least testing it first to see if it benefits their institution.

This will not be “news of any calibre you didn’t know already” as Sergey himself has been outspoken on the launch of derivatives market by end of year. This is mainly to confirm that there has been progressive talks with a large financial institution about the implementation of such a system into their framework. This is also to confirm that if the test period is a success, there will be an abundance of job requests by end of year.

Remember what Sergey says in his talks, if a company is able to offer a product that’s better than what’s out there currently on the open market, the other companies in the space would also need to implement the technology/solution or otherwise become obsolete to its competitors.

And now onto the juicy part: the team will be announcing a “somewhat” big-time partnership in the next few days. Unfortunately, with this I cannot go into detail as it would reveal who I am. Just be on the lookout in the next days for something along these lines.
