12919844 No.12919844 [Reply] [Original]

I'm not attempting to FUD and I don't want to have a general discussion about ChainLink. I just want an answer to one question about LINK, that I have never seen reasonably answered or addressed?

WHY THE FUCK IS IT TAKING SO LONG TO DEVELOP?

I have been an enterprise software architect that has lead teams of developers in groups from 20-200 for companies like Deloitte and EY and I am also well versed in Crypto.

For what they have done in past 2 years, should have taken a dev team of 2 people about 3 months and to meet all of the goals they want to meet by April that they have had 1+ year to work on, should only take a dev team of 4-5 people about 4-6 months

I don't think LINK is a scam, I think it solves a very real problem....but fuck, I'm half tempted to create an ERC-20 token myself that is exactly what LINK is/wants to be, but have it finished in 3 months

do it, then send me 100k memecoins so we can both make it.

this is what I've been wondering for 2 years. And I know nothing about software development

usually you just get a meme answer linking you to some wikipedia page about some hypothetical law which shows team size is inversely correlated with development time

The enterprise system for which I am the lead on now, and for past 3 years, manages ~10,000,000,000 in USD every year

Just because your application manages $10b each year doesnt give (You) any weight or credibility.

They dont know what the final product will look like yet, because its impossible to figure out all the details at once.

Your system is probably based on well-known concepts and mechanisms. Its surely not fucking blockchain middleware built to bridge smart contracts with the outside world.

>> No.12920243

The real answer is because they don't care about finishing it as fast as possible. Apparently they are not in a rush.

I know it doesn't give much, I just wanted to indicate that I'm not just some NEET bitching about LINK because it hasn't turned into more NEETbux

>They dont know what the final product will look like yet, because its impossible to figure out all the details at once.
This is a fundamental problem that should have been addressed much earlier and released an MVP a year ago

>Your system is probably based on well-known concepts and mechanisms. Its surely not fucking blockchain middleware built to bridge smart contracts with the outside world.
very good point

I should also point out that I am slated to implement smart contracts for a large global project and would like to get approval from the business to use ChainLink but there is no way in hell that will happen at this point...which I guess is good because I'd have to divest and if link ever does make it, I'd like to have my bags ready

They have probably realized that they have no real competition and thus have no need to rush.

Rushing and consequently fucking something up would be 10x worse than having to wait a little bit longer.

A failed mainnet launch would ruin their reputation.

I didn't even read what you wrote. If you want a technical argument you won't get one, because all the smart anons fucked off since after November. All I know is that every single technical thread from last year ended with a win for link, with everything being disproven. Now it's just a waiting game for the product to be functioning. So whatever concerns you have now are irrelevant. Wait for after link is operational and then come measure your technical dick size with other anons.

In the mean time, all you need to do is come a bit closer

Closer...

a bit more....
