I can't wait to play WoW again. Probably going to roll a Human Warlock. Don't need to be retired to enjoy questing in Vanilla. I have a ton of paid leave burning a hole in my pocket

I’ve played a bunch of free shards of old games and it’s just never comparable to how it was when the games first came out. The biggest problem is that the grind is unbearable after you get used to modern theme park mechanics like LFG.

Feeling extreme nostalgia about the beginning learning stages and playing with my friends. The not knowing what is over the next hill or next cave, the exploration I liked a lot. Wandering around finding rare creatures that were challenging to us. Finding copper veins, learned about mining, blacksmithing, and I was excited to try and create my first set of [Common] copper items for my troll warrior. Then I found Orgrimmar and was overwhelmed. Yes from the lag, but also from the sheer creativity from the game and the community. Walking past people dueling outside the gates, entering the orgrimmar chat for the first time, fucking hilarious. Then I learned about the AH and found out the 200 copper bars I sold at a vendor were going for much more on the AH. A lot of my friends that played at the LAN center we all went to had night elf characters, so I remember the sounds of nightsabers a lot. Zoram strand was my favorite spot that I discovered wandering around.
