What kind of business frauds you guys knows which happened in real life and the people who did it got away with it? Guess I am just looking for stories

My friend's dad (who has already passed away) had a company here in Europe and they made a huge deal of imported boats and some engines with some American company in the 80s. Paid only half of them, never paid for the other half

All of the guys went for prison like 5-10 years for it but after they got out they still seemed to be living the rich life. I supposedly live in one of the most uncorrupted countries in the world but just baffles me how they did do it. I mean everybody in my city just knew that the essentially just filed bankrupty, couple of guys went to jail, and when they got out everything was fine. They kept all their cool cars, houses, huge mansions etc. Of course I do not know all the legal details of the case in question but that is how it pretty much went.

Self help aside from Dale Carnegie is all fraud. 4 hour workweek was sociopath Tim Ferriss, Simple Pickup was creeps, Tai Lopez was your run of the mill gaslighting scheme. Real Social Dynamics is the same gaslighting scheme but with women. All of them are frauds and just get people who are insecure to pay them money to make them feel confident.

I’m dating a much older woman. In exchange for fucking her every weekend and texting her during the week, I pretty much have unlimited access to her checkbook. Bought me a nice car, clothes, dinners, gave me over 15k to trade stocks of which over the past year I have doubled. When all my monies is over 100k I might leave although it’s a pretty good gig. I don’t recommend criminality because you may piss someone off and catch a bullet.
