It's not even rational to think they would give enough fucks to, or that there's some secret network all HR in all companies use to laugh at failed wagies. But man. No one is fucking hiring me, the fuck. And I already know all my past employers are giving me bad references, so my options are only employers who don't check them. Fucking whores.

How does one know if they are blacklisted? I haven't been able to get a decent job my whole adult life (13 years now)

This is why you don’t burn bridges
Connections are THE most important thing.

I literally have not updated my resume in years because I get my jobs off the recommendations of other people.

The job market is bad enough that most likely you are not blacklisted. Unless you have no references whatsoever. In that case you blacklisted yourself.

Like, right? I don't really understand. The entry level wages keep falling, if anything. They want to pay someone with a degree and 5 years of experience like 16/hour. I'm going crazy. I'm only applying to ones that are willing to pay fair wages so I guess I have a lot of competition. I just don't understand, it seems so slow and dead right now.
