>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

but yes, the diffrence between roth and traditional in your case is much less than $3k.

here are some reasons to do roth

>your taxes are currently low
>you're below the income limit for roth (currently $70,000 or something)
>you're young, so there is going to be a lot of time for the gains to grow (roth accounts do not get taxed on gains, traditional accounts do)

There are two kinds of futures: index futures and commodity futures. When people here say futures are green or red, they are referring to the index futures for the S&P, Nasdaq 100, and Dow unless otherwise specified. Futures (mostly) open for trading two hours after regular market close.

Check them here:
https://www.cnbc.com/pre-markets/

Investing.com is also fine for checking futures. I like their format for it. The site is overall junk but they display futures and global markets just fine.

I've been /fit/ on and off for 5 years now and I still hate myself. The problem with not being exceptional is that being average isn't good enough now. You need to have a 3.5 GPA, personal projects, a STEM degree, and two interships to get a 56K salary job. You need to be on testosterone (which apparently you can't get from a doctor because lmao controlled substance) and lifting and rock climbing and still not going bald anyways to get girls. And more importantly, you need to want to do all of this in the first place. If you don't have any authority figure to get you sorted out and you never had any discipline as a child, and your brain genetics are against you, you're just gonna live as a fucking loser for the rest of your life and there's not a damn thing that can be done to fix you, because despite all of our medical science we still aren't capable of doing anything with it besides shoving drugs and surgeries that have horrendous side effects onto issues that can probably be solved just by eating less and eating more good, organic food.

Then you picked up the wrong parts of fit. The ones that pine endlessly for unrealistic shit.

There is nothing wrong with being a simple man. You don't need to bang a thousand chicks and be ripped. Just good health and hopefully find one good woman but even that isn't at all necessary.

You're crippling yourself with expectations of what you should want or have. You need to relax and take it one step at a time. Don't worry about appearing stupid or balding. You give your imagination the authority to depress you.

Even if you lacked discipline as a child, it is possible to force discipline on yourself by manipulating the necessity of your situation. The discipline that comes from necessity is one everyone must confront, and if you are incapable of confronting it then you will fail no matter what you do. But, if you've made it this far and are still alive, chances are you are capable of it

I've lost more than 50 pounds in the last year and a half, worked at one of the most important financial institutions in the country, and self published a shitty novel. My attitude in doing this was "always do what is necessary" for whatever my ad hoc purpose is at the time.

Self hatred may be inevitable to some extent. Use that internal revulsion as fuel to actually do things. Try intermittent fasting, keep applying for jobs.

Our system has long neglected the average person, however, and that's one reason it's in hot water right now. If an average person can't get by decently, then it probably won't last much longer as is.

It doesn't work that way. The very basic gist of TA is to identify trends in the chart. You want to buy or sell when a trend has broken and the chart appears to be changing to a new direction.

Check out TA tutorials on youtube. The ones by forex traders tend to be the best in terms of simplified strategy without too much hocus pocus going on. I consider the more basic your approach to TA is, the better your understanding of the market and better your prediction of results will be. Also keep in mind that TA is only half of a trading strategy. The other half is how to place your orders, cost average, hedging against less etc etc etc.
