I actually enjoyed my career in it's early stages. Took courses and was always switching to higher-paying jobs, which was very validating.

But when I started to just look at my job as a means to get money and retire early, things really took a nosedive, morale-wise. I'm still working because I'm getting a good dollar for my time, but I know my time is running short.

On the one hand, it's exciting, but on the other hand, I don't have anything that I want to do afterward, so I do have anxiety about that.

Basically, early-career is when the most / best things happen and it sucks after you plateau.

BI-analyst.

Quite comfy. I handle all financial data of a medium-sized corporation in SSMS and we will implement a propper BI-solution this year, as the amount of data simply overwhelmes the technolgical capabilities I have at my service right now.

Not soulcrushing at all. Well paid, cool atmosphere and overall enjoyable. I learn something new every day and can quite accurate calculate, which benefits I bring to my job. Got two raises in the past six months because of that.

Software dev for a big car company

It's pretty ok, but the office is full of indian boomers so the microwaves always smell like poo, and half of people are just NPCs who show up to take up space for 6 hours and leave. The ones who are actually decent programmers are aspies.

Very hard to stay motivated to do anything to tell the truth and the commute is an hour on average. However the pay is half decent and I'm saving quite a bit

I work at a small company that makes escape rooms and indoor playgrounds for children. Quite enjoyable, but doesn't make as much as the larger companies. I'm happy with it tho.
