Is there even 1 single coin that we can collectively agree is not a shitcoin?

They are all shitcoins, but there will often be someone dumber than you to sell them to at a profit.

even bitcoin is a shitcoin. crypto might be the most overrated technological "breakthrough" of all time.

ETH, XMR, BTC. I've used all 3 for transactions and they seem to work as intended. Obviously BTC has the scaling issue but there are autists working on it.

The biggest challenges ahead are going to be implementing smart contracts and integrating crypto with smartphones so for example, two Android/iOS users can transfer crypto to eachother within seconds.

This can be done by a physical in-wallet confirmation code, both of you have your wallets open on your devives and the reciever needs to input the PIN of the sender after the transaction request pops up. Kind of like a Google Authenticator type of deal.

no because the only two candidates are eth and btc, and lots of people in one camp call the other a shitcoin.

monero is a shitcoin because nobody uses it.
2766 transactions in the last 24 hours. It's a year older than ethereum. There's just close to no demand for pure privacy/anonymity coin.

the thing is, most of those are probably practical, rather than exchanges and random shit

Yeah, it's small, but it's super niche, and 2-3k is a fair amount

the only noticeable use case of monero is to use it as a a mixer: shapeshift (well, not literally anymore) from something else into it, and then convert back.
At a minimum 2 transactions per one 'real' transaction.

I use monero to simply pay for things, I really enjoy the concept and it seems to function as expected. There are a number of services available for monero directly, among other options
