No debt, some liquid cash. Some liquid gold, silver. Tons of water and cans. A gun, ammo and a knife. Durable clothes and know how to make a fire.

I found out this week that I apparently have around $45k in a couple mutually funds started for me as a child.
Writing on the wall about coming crash/lull has been obvious for a while, but I'm unsure what to do or how to make the call of when I should do it.
Would cashing these out completely asap be retarded? Do I have a couple weeks or a couple years? Put it all in a CD maybe, and buy back in a few years when things start moving again?

There's over a trillion dollars of leverage corporate debt sitting out there, and it's being granted in the same shady way as CDOs. When the markets start souring and the loans begin to default, we'll have another problem similar to 2008. Difference now being that we are openly discussing it, including some politicians like Warren. The Fed is aware too

You must be blind to don't see that a meltdown is at the corner.
When? no one know the day, but only because (((they))) are trying to stop it. But the cure will only inflating the bubble not deflating.
It will be a mix of corporate and nations debts default the catalyst of one of the worst recession in economic history.

Only a colossal retard holds out on investing because of an economic crash. Consider:
>the economy does not crash
>you held out and gained nothing

>the economy does crash
>you did not hold out and your stocks are down

Now
>stocks recover and your net worth begins to go up
>stocks remain down and the entire American economy collapses and civilization as we know it ends

If the latter, nothing happens. If the former, nothing happens, except you should buy the dip, too. Simple process of elimination lads.

If you're seriously worried about a crash, migrate your holdings to securities on foreign exchanges like in Canada. In 2008 Canada was largely unaffected by the housing bubble collapse because regulations are better there and banks actually have a real fiduciary responsibility.

The US is great for investing in explosive growth, but there are serious issues with our regulatory structure which makes our exposure to downturns much larger than they need to be.

people need to stop this civilization ending due to financial collapse.
Japan didnt go back to a feudal society due to its collapse. And the asian financial collapse didnt cause asia to regress.

All crashes mean is that markets have had their liquidtity dry up, in laymans terms just means a bunch of debt went up in smoke in terms of valuations.
