Lets talk about mainnet.

For the supreme leader and his team to release mainnet they will need to have nodes already established and running, otherwise there would be no "net".

I believe that the blessed one realized this and saw bringing johny on to the team as a way to remedy this. Johny has insider knowledge as to when mainnet will release, so now he can prepare linkpool to coinside with this so there is actually a functioning net upon release.

I believe we can expect 2 situations:

1. The holy one makes a public announcement of an impending mainnet release, and therefor a grace period for people to get nodes running

Or

2. We see some contact from linkpool team starting to onload LP holders to nodes. This would signal mainnets announcement.

Just my thoughts

Is 1.2 shares enough to make it? I have 0 Link btw

I did the math and you will get more returns from holding link. I would buy some LP for priority staking.

I own 7000 link and .16 LP (i bought my LP for 200$ and its worth nearly 400$ now). But still only bought it for priority staking

any more info at this point as to staking allowances at mainnet release? i remember johnny saying in the telegram that it would be proportional to the number of LP shares held but don't recall seeing any solid numbers.

Bro, what the hell, use this template for Linkpool General Threads

/LPG/ - LinkPool General
Discussion thread about shares price, future of this platform, potential revenue... etc.

What Is LinkPool?
>LinkPool is a ChainLink service provider with the ultimate goal of lowering the barrier to entry to becoming part of the ChainLink node network. Our aim is to allow people to easily earn passive income via staking, and also ease the amount of technical knowledge and experience required for running their own node. We achieve this by offering a easy to use and intuitive staking app and also a more hands-on Node as a service solution.

>Quick Rundown on the crowdsale

In order to get funding, LinkPool had a crowdsale from April 15 to July 31, 2018. Jonny & Mat sold 6.25% of the company to the crowdsale contributors. The capacity of the crowdsale was 1,000 ETH, of which only 701.2 ETH were sold. However, the Linkpool team decided to evenly distribute the unsold portion among contributors. After the crowdsale finished, the team distributed the shares, giving an extra 40% to everyone. These can be purchased through the DEx.

Why would I buy a share?
>You get 0.00625% of the Linkpool's revenue per share you hold. That includes DEX fees, NaaS subscription payments, 25% stakers fee and any other form of revenue for future Linkpool's products that are paid in LINK. Furthermore you will obtain staking priority when LinkPool goes live (the amount to stake per share is unknown yet).

1 LP is worth .000015 (not % i have already divided by 100 here) of the companies profit.

So for example if linkpool makes $1,000,000 profit everyone LP will earn $15.625....so with 4 LP youd get $62.5

If they did $100,000,000 youd get $6250, which isnt bad for an investment. Obviously these are yearly numbers.

I think 4 LP would have cost you $5000. Which would have now been worth $10,000. (Im going off of when i bought it which was before christmas off the dex, im a burger).

How does distribution work in different cases?

>Figure with 100 LINK as revenue in the staking dApp:
>75 Link is distributed among every staker.
>6.25 Link is distributed among share holders.
>18.75 Link is distributed among Jonny & Mat.

>Figure with 100 LINK as revenue in the NaaS payment and DEx fees:
>75 go to Jonny & Mat
>25 go to share holders

Last LP share trade: 19 ETH / LP

Next distribution 67%

Steve forced Sergey to hire Jonny because the project has been so mismanaged and they are so delayed they literally couldn't afford to hire someone who would have a few weeks learning curve.

That's the reason. Hiring jonny broke so many ethical norms and fucked the pooled staking market since no one will ever be able to compete with linkpool, but Steve and Sergey realized they didn't really have any options.

It's not like Jonny is a singular talent in Go development, he was just the lowest hanging meme hire from a team without a big network or much of a reputation to hire the best.

That's wrong though. If Linkpool makes $1,000,000 profit, every LP holder will get $62.5 per LP share they own.

1000 Shares = 6.25% of Linkpool profit

1 share = 0.00625% of Linkpool profit

13.5k LINK and 0.2LP here
Buying LINK is always the better bet, priority staking is the only real benefit. Think about it, if LinkPool makes hundreds of millions a year in revenue and you get a couple g's off that, you'll probably be a millionaire with a stack LINK that you could've bought instead, also you're staking the LINK and making mad money through that too. 20 ETH a share is ridiculous rn and will dump hard right after snapshot. Just buy the cycling LINK dips before singularity.

$5000 gets you roughly 10,000 link.

With a pump of even to 5$ and staking you stand to make far more than you will ever make from owning LP.

Think about it, if your making any money from owning LP your getting 25% of whatever. 10,000 link gets you a portion of the other 75% and linkpool has to make millions annually for this to even matter. If they are link is defiantly big.

Tldr: buy some LP to get on a genesis node. Nothing more. LINK staked is going to give you the best ROI

13k LINK .52 Linkpool shares here. At first I thought I went overboard on LP, but then I realized it would be safer to benefit my family by giving them early passive staking income instead of bleeding out my own LINK to help support them later.
