>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, stop making the general with trips, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

False. They are absolutely pumping the market and they have been since late December, under the president's authority. The market doing well is imperative to Trump, in order to keep his base happy. The reality is, that this is horrible for the overall economy, because they are just buying S&Ps with money they don't have. This will cause the coming decline to be substantially worse and will lead to hyperinflation. Initiating the PPT was a very foolish and near-sighted move by POTUS.

well duh, but nobody has demonstrated a statistically significant ability to time the market, which is why time in the market is recommended to timing the market.
research indicates that annual returns are essentially composed of ~11 days in the market - miss those and you underperform. the odds of being in or out on those specific days is very low, and to be able to do so over 60 consecutive months at a statistically significant rate just hasn't been done.
but yeah, duh, if you could time the market you could bank dank returns above the market. just because you can backtest a strategy of long and short with perfect market information doesn't mean you can do it irl. go try it, I'd applaud you if you pull it off. but even industry professionals with more and better information don't manage to do it, so I urge caution.

the problem with that is that every time you're pulling your money out of the market expecting a crash, you incur not only trading fees but potential capital gains taxes. these should be minimized at all costs, especially taxable events. obviously when you go back into the market, there are trading fees again. plus, people are irrational and emotional, it's hard to stay disciplined and true to a strategy especially when shtf. there's research on the impact of those taxable events too, the main problem is that by not deferring taxes then they aren't contributing to the compounding.

i investment amoubnt
r rate of return
n periods (years)

deferring all capital gains taxes until the end, after tax value is = i * (1 + r)^n * (1 - t) + (i * t)

It's way too early to even make speculative investments on that. The time to jump in would be when there rumblings that one or more companies are making preparations to do it within a year or two at most. I think orbital tourism is closer to being a thing if someone figures out a way to make it affordable for the wealthy. Like $10k-$20k a seat for a ride in to orbit, few hours worth of laps around, then re-entry. That'd be cheap enough to get a lot of interest going.

Best way to get a respectful, smart, good looking man is to be a respectable, smart good looking woman.

Don’t be easy, respectable men who LTR don’t LTR with women who put out on 1st date, they want a women they know will be loyal. Don’t get tattoos, tattoos signify being feminist promiscuous trash. Present yourself in non slutty attire and show overtime that you have family values and will be the kind of woman who will be an excellent house wife that’ll takes good care of her man.

Remember the alpha is inviting you to be a part of his life, if you want to be a part of it and raise a big strong family with him show to him that you are the kind of woman who will be the best house wife.

You have to forget Jewish lies and understand your place in the natural order, you natural role is to take care of the man, the house and the family to the best of your ability so your children become as competent as possible. This is an extremely noble role and is something to take pride in doing well as it is essential for the evolution of our kind, don’t listen to the bitter childless 30 year old feminists who say it’s evil, it’s not and woman were much happier when both man and women were doing their natural roles.

If you know what is your natural role and express to your man in subtle ways that you understand it you can secure any respectable man and that man will be happy as hell to wife you, have lots of kids and love you until death. Problem is lots of men are not respectable and are just fuck boys. Look out for the fuck boys. Also if you are actually just a Tranny then you are absolutely screwed.

Macro analysis like that is outside the bounds of my expertise. I am currently in swing positions on both RBC and Bank of Nova Scotia. Just took some profit on BNS this afternoon. Right now, their financials are fine and the charts are decent, just a bit overextended and due for some consolidation to cool off RSI levels.

y'all are such an odd group of people. I'm gonna have to build some visuals to make sure things sink home. unfortunately, majority of posters here don't seem to be e employing appropriate portfolios given existing capital markets research and your presumed risk profile. for some of you, it's shocking how far beyond responsible inverting your portfolios have become. proper investing is not gambling, it's calculated risk grounded in empirical performance and faith in the integrity of modern capital markets. so very odd to me how some here pretend it's something otherwise, but I guess that's the circle ioflife, right? some stranger is most definitely making money off some of y'all.

the best part about retail investing today is there's never been a better time or more certain formula for growing wealth. just because it's passive and slow and boring doesn't mean it ain't right for you. I am contrarian on some modern capital markets theories, and the role of risk in an individual's life journey, and how to measure risk, but some of the advice here is so bad that I think it might even be giving me some sort of cancer from the exposure

It can still bounce higher, and that has profound psychological effect. What if the market goes up 5% before the retest starts (in 2008 things looked like they were recovering for some time after the initial "correction")? do you really have strong enough hands to take that?

I shorted the market with 18x leverage on the 29th of november, made a killing and when the bottom was reached i figured i might as well hold since "the market will only go lower, bounces dont matter LOL". Retard that i was i saw most of my gains wiped away. being carefull is important.

El Salvador, the problem is (more than finding a broker), that I don't have much cash saved up, I wish I could start out small, should I take a loan? I think it's to risky.

they always kinda have two options, cash account and a loan account (can't remember the name) according to what I understand, using the loan account you can actually buy more stocks which is good, but if things go sour, you end up loosing more than you originally had, and I don't like that idea, while the cash account requires you to have 20,000 in cash at the moment of entering the business

dont take out loans to invest. the non-cash account is typically called a margin account, and you can't lose more than you put in. however, if you're on the wrong side of the trade they can liquidate your account if you're using leverage and do not meet the minimum margin requirements.

i know this isn't the advice you want, but use the money you do have to get yourself generating more income, via a better job after training, or a side business, etc. then when your income is higher then consider investing.

you probably mean leveraged account?

and dont gamble with margin or loans, unless you have enough cash on hand to pay off the loan if things go sour

you cant make money from slow steady gains if you get liquidated whenever there is a major dip

sure the reward is lower, but that also means the risk is dramatically lower too

There may be some room to still go up before next trial result, but there isn't going to be a BO soon.
