No one knows but we're overinflated and due, if you mean buy stocks and end up doing it, I would dollar cost average slowly. Hedge with gold/silver or bonds or crypto if you're into that.

If your goal is long-term investing, it really doesn't matter all that much; the market moves up in the long run. If you're worried about a recession, keep enough liquidity to pick up some undervalued instruments when the bottom falls out. Don't worry about it too much either, just let it ride and periodically invest some more.
