Funny day for me on the markets. I was red for most of it thanks to getting squeezed on a small nasdaq short. Natty gas retraced some but appears to have formed new support as I posted above. Stop loss adjusted up a bit so now I either make a little money or a lot of money on the trade, no risk to principal. One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".

Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.

I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.

Good move. Canopy is a solid swing trade stock, in my opinion. Sort of same deal as the rest of the dude weed. Most interesting to me is it has a tendency to conform to relatively consistent pump and dump periods. 3-4 week pump off tightened price range, 3-4 week dump, consolidate for a while, 3-4 week pump, repeat. This most recent one was enlightening to me as I was not sure Canadian dude weed would remain in the same general pattern as it had prior to Canada officially going legal in October. For now, it seems the hype is still there and the big moves are going to continue.

Right now I want to see what happens at the ~$46.60(US) / $60(CAN) resistance.

This is pretty much how I started. Original idea was to pay of student loans faster. Built up an okay starting stack for trading while I was at it. I'm 35 now and the neither the flesh or spirit are willing to work like that anymore. Doing pretty good, sold my AMRN during the last high so made some nice gains from that. Bought some Apple while it's in the toilet. Figure I can sell it when it climbs back to the 200+ range and make a nice bundle. If it takes a while that's ok, the nice fat div + drip will only make the selling that much fatter. Sorry to tell you anon, but that's what I'm going for right now as well, and those employers recruit from a minimum of the top 100 national colleges as far as I'm aware. Like, there might be some boutique firms I'm not aware of, but generally there's still a decently tough job market out there. Lot's of people go to school for this stuff because they enjoy it or they want to make a lot of money. Maybe you'll have better luck than I am if you actually major in finance or econ, but I've already worked in the industry and it's still hard times.

Well placed some buy orders. TGT and LGF.A. These two companies are ripe for takeover. TGT is down in the shit, the high being $90. So if it don't get bought, I can always sell it on a high note and enjoy the fat 0.64 div in the meantime. LGF is in a good spot for takeover with the media mergers being all the rage now. They got a shit pot full of content plus own starz channel. The stock is cheap atm at under $20 per so some company can swoop in and buy it without to much trouble.

I think I might get more in to trading commodities. Originally I was just watching them because I thought some of the names for things are funny. Then I started paying attention to the price movements. There's a lot of volatility with these commodities that I think I can trade pretty well. Will look in to it in future. I'm not sure what they best way to trade some of these commodities is. I mean I don't actually want to buy bags of sugar and, ya know, cattle, on account of my neighbours probably wouldn't be too cool with a hundred cows in my backyard and all. There are probably ETFs for a lot of it, same as oil/gas.
