Problem with Monero is the same as all non-utility coins - the price has no relation to its use or usefulness. Even worse, sell side pressure will always outweigh buy pressure due to inflation.

The inflation on Monero once the tail emission kicks in will be less than 1% per year. The current supply is lower than BTC and will stay that way until I believe 2040 or 2050.

Also it remains to be seen what will happen with BTC once its all mined and miners can only make money off the TX fees. Especially if they keep the 1mb blocksize. Smaller miners got squeezed out during this bear market so just imagine a bear market with no block reward and only TX fees.
