Born and raised in this godforsaken city.

Being young in this town has its perks. The nightlife is fun downtown but the strip is full of disgusting tourist and over priced tourist trapped shitholes. You very quickly realize it’s a pile of shit wrapped in gold to fool you at first glance.

The summers can seem to drag on with 100+ degree weather. If you don’t mind dry heat wave then the weather is tolerable, but in the suburbs everything is a flat, dry brown copy+paste that gets a bit old. It’s a realitively cheap place to live and you have to be careful not to get dragged into the allure of gambling your money because you’ll just go broke. Go into any casino built for locals away from downtown/ the strip and it’s full of old retired fucks gambling away their social security checks. Can get seriously depressing.

You can find areas like that and still be within 20-30 minute drive of downtown if you want nightlife, sports, the casino or fine dining. I pay $500/month for a spacious 2 br apartment for myself and barely if ever see any niggers unless I venture out to Walmart. I'm 25 minutes north of the city. Win/win.
