This certainly depends on how big "a bunch" is.
around 55% of French people ideologically support the Gilets Jaunes.
You have to also consider the psychological factors of this – when people fear that their bank will run out of liquidity, they will join in, whether or not they support the cause. The bank run is the prime example of a self-fulfilling prophecy.
