Vechain is gay as fuck but its also one of the few projects actually being used in the real world, and has actual physical products and devices that interact with the ledger.

>actually being used in the real world

But it's not used by anyone for any purpose.

CLOT x Air Jordan 13's have VET chips in them among other products like it; at CIIE 2018 they had 5-6 top asian street wear brands showcasing VeChain's tech in them.

Something has been writing 30K clauses a day for the last week, and Dapps aren't even live; I'm guessing an update will be coming out soon.

There's also some Italian wine that's started to produce wine bottles w/ MyStory; they average a million bottles a year or someshit... forget the name of them because they're literally who but it's a start.

I know /biz/raelies aren't pleased with it but VeChain is the most used enterprise blockchain that consumers can interact with.

Please tell me what their 'tech' that is live is though. I don't understand what they really do that is so revolutionary that makes them deserve the marketcap they have. The authority nodes are mostly unknown which makes it centralized to a big degree. Right now they have products being tracked on a blockchain authorized by unknown users/corporations. The rest of their articles are about stuff that doesn't exist that they say they are working on. I would take their releases with a grain of salt after being fooled by their marketing in the past. Transactions on the blockchain are incredibly easy and cheap to fake at the moment and even if they are doing it to spark engagement and kick things into gear I find it dishonest when there is no transparency and the market is the most heavily manipulated of all alts and a tonne of insider info leaked.

No it's not

fucking WAX and KIN are some of the most used chains in the world right now

VET is peak chinese hustle

desu I couldn't care less about Authority node reveal; if it was a condition of becoming one then they should release, but if it wasn't and I was one I sure as fuck wouldn't let them release who I was.

The fact VET has big names that shill for it (BYD & DNV-GL) who both have no problems tagging VeChain then I'm /comfy/.

Truely decentralized supply-chain cannot work; you need an authority oversight otherwise you're free to write whatever you want and no1 will ever bother to check; if DNV-GL signs that a product is authentic and as said and it's not then you can hold them responsible and the company would go down the shitter.

BUT all in all if DNV-GL was to drop VeChain I would dump, however considering DNV has two seats on the Advisory board and own equity in the company I doubt it'd happen, the relationship seems healthy.

does Bitcoin Cash deserve to be worth 2.8bln?
Litecoin at 2.3bln?
Bitcoin SV at 1.5bln?
Cardano at 1.29bln?
IOTA at 1bln?

These projects either a) do nothing or b) don't even work yet -- I don't think you can criticize VeChain being at 250m, they've done more then these 5 coins together and have brought blockchain closer to the point where your buying things with blockchain and don't even know what it is -- case in point the the fact you can walk into a H&M Store and scan a beanie to show you information about sourced materials, etc. Or buying SBTG custom Adidas shoes and proving their authentic.

It may not sound like much of a big deal but it's a good start, there's not many crypto projects that've done nearly as much.
