The "safest" way if you are actually intelligent is to do med school, you'll be guaranteed a $250k salary after you finish residency.

All those other industries you listed will require years of experience+promotions to get to 250k in total comp (unless you go to SF and work for Google, but then your cost of living is high as fuck, plus it's like the worst place in the world to live).

I do not have the money to pursue graduate school after I finish my undergrad. What would you recommend? Can't you work as a nurse fora few years and then go to med school and become a doctor?

I know that SF cost of living is high but I've never heard that it's a bad place to live in.

stop planning everything senpaitachi, had only fucked prostitutes before but then 2 days after my 25th birthday somehow all by chance I met this girl and we've been together for 2 year now, a relationship is hard and modern women lack personality but I thought I was going to be a wizard and loneliness is worse everytime, so take an almost-boomer's advice and stop the edginess of "muh focus on money 100% even if it means overworking yourself to death", instead find a comfy job (salary isn't important you can get money by investing and not being a degenerate, but your mental health is important), then find someone to be with, she can be ugly or fat or skinny who cares man it's all in your head, then go live with low expectations, your wife is retarded and kids are too? who cares man you have people you feel things for that's better than shitposting on /biz and /gif at 4AM, in the end you'll die and you'll feel more meaning next to this fat retarded wife and retarded kids than any chad can feel in the club with a roastie. and when you're dead that's it senpai, the earth can explode you won't be there to care

>how can i make X money a year.
You wont get there by getting a job, let me assure you. How do you get more money while working a job? You either work more hours (unrealistic and undesirable), or somehow convince your boss to give you more money (extremely unlikely as the point of hiring people is to pay them less than they make for you, otherwise you're just paying out of your pocket).
The real to get way more shekels is to sell shit. Sell a service, a product, information,... Whatever. To make more money selling things, you can either work on your marketing to sell to more people, work on your product to make it more sellable to everyone (moving from sports cars to civics, for example), or work on your product and supply line to make it cheaper, and thus more profitable,...
The point is this, its a lot easier to makes butt loads of money if you're not selling your time, but rather someone else's. There is no shortage of people willing to sell their lives (wagecucks) and people willing to buy shit for the wage they get from selling their lives.

All you need to do is learn how to sell shit, then sell it.

CRNA is a nurse anesthetist, usually working under an anesthesiologist and performed sedation, intubation and stabilization of patients in the operating room. It's pays well but it's also boring as fuck and most of them only do anything at the start of the surgery and then sit at the head of the patient reading for the remaining hours of it. No it’s not. Unlike in 90s, software automation is at light-speed. Most of the “generic” DS jobs are being automated as we speak (look at Alteryx) leaving those with strong domain (biology / finance) and qualitative component. Medicine is actually highly qualitative applied science field. More qualitative a field is,lesser it is prone to automation. Marketing is both qualitative and quantitative. So don’t be a Data Scientist working under a Marketing Manager - be a that marketing expert yourself with R / Python at your repertoire.

Yes, I have switched to qualitative field after SoftDev/DS both looked BS too me at a ground level inside corporations. If you can secure research oriented (highly competitive) jobs in these fields (CS/ML/AI) go for it. But it’s a risky career. I love math/stat but now I do it as a hobby or side thing (sometime I do algo-trading). The biggest issue is falling in love with a quantitative field with our semi-autistic brains. More qualitative you can be, experience will play more critical role that will not decay with age and you will be able to erect a kind of competitive advantage. Getting a CFA is another option to move to long term equity research areas (may start with quant with your stat/math background but again move out from quant areas as you gain experience in investment field and pursue CFA or FRM). That’s just my opinion, you have to do your own research.

If you want to live the life of Patrick Bateman, you need to make about triple the number you posted. 250k in anywhere outside flyoverville is just really upper middle class and goes away quickly. Also, fucking lol at the high schoolers/ pre meds saying doctor is a path to riches. You truly think you’ll be in the same financial position as the Pajeet or Boomer who paid next to nothing and bought their big house 20 years ago? Literally you will be 35 with a net worth of 0 at best, most likely negative
t. Grew up in a household that made 300k

Software engineer here
Not likely, but possible. Note that working for FAANG doesn't guarantee they'll ever give you 250k. Also, not all data science jobs are actually fun, some are more like data warehousing or cleaning the data.
