It is literally impossible to run a LINK node. You have to download the entire Ethereum blockchain which takes an entire month because the network is so slow. And when you get to 99% it just starts over from 0%.

I don’t think the Link Pool guys even have nodes. They just have you send your LINK a to random addresses and they have an elaborate interface to make it look like there’s a node and that they’re earning more LINK.

Can we refute this though?

This is false though. I've run queries on the testnet, it takes LINK to pay a node. ETH is only used to write the data to the blockchain. More mindless FUD, of course retards eat it up

Where is the proof? Unless you’re running one yourself, it’s fake evidence

>> No.12225888

Even if that were true (which it isnt), you still need link to stake. Which is where the value comes from. The majority of links non speculative value comes from collateral.

You can fork it to accept what ever you want. But it's not how it is currently. The strength of the network is determined by the amount of participants. The amount of participants is determined by profitability. Profitability can be adjusted by the team in the form of the 350m link reserved for incentives. Having a separate token called chainlink instead of eth or a stable coin gives the team more power to kickstart mainnet by make it very profitable to participate. Once the ball gets rolling, the chainlink mainnet network will be the largest (most secure) and most profitable network to be in.

>> No.12226962

>>12226912
Security then attracts more network use which then attracts more participants. The period after mainnet launch will be crucial to securing oracle market share and network use. The team knows that. That's why it set aside 1/3 of all link in existence to get the ball rolling.

>> No.12226987

Why are people still posting about fucking ChainLink? The scam is complete, Sergey took and sold his many thousands of ETH and is now living off dividends, lavishly. It's over and done. No one here can even explain what Chainlink even does.
