2012 to 2017 had pretty much a 20x (1k to 20k). If you truly believe the tech has not yet peaked you could argue for another 20x in 5 years so 20k to 400k.

I'm accumulating ETH atm anyway.

0. The same thing it's worth now.
Just because there's a bunch of retards willing to pay money for it doesn't mean it's actually worth anything at all.

dude i bought btc in 2012 for $10 peak was lkie $15

2012 was a year without a bubble, so yeah say 2013 peak to 2018 peak (assuming price doesn't go above 20k before EOY) was a 20x.

once thing for sure, there's absolutely no reason for crypto to stay in the current marketcap, or even in the hundreds of billions. at the very least it has to reach gold marketcap. most likely will also reach stocks eventually. and then will eat the real estate bubble. not devalue them. real estate has actual value, but they're far overvalued due to being considered a store of wealth, which crypto will make obsolete. so it'll eat a lot of that $500 TRILLION real estate mcap.

2011 was a year with the first serious bubble. then 2012 was like 2018 is now. then 2013 came with two insane bubbles, violating parabolic advancement twice in the same year, sending the price to a literal 100x.
wondering if 2019 will be similar.

For its sake I hope around 10k
But speculators could drive it up again 50k+
Looking at some markets that dived and then recovered, the recovery was often twice or three times the previous highs.
This will be good for short term investors but will be bad for the adoptability of Btc.
Steady growth is what is needed

Hopefully by then the everything bubble will have popped and even gold will be over $10k.

I wonder which website that was..

My take on '13:
Mar-Apr '13 bank closure in Cyprus with confiscation of funds, ppl saw this wanted to be in something where they could 'be there own bank' (not have to depose funds to a bank).
After a dip b/c it had a big rise. people heard about BTC b/c it had a crazy price rise. Run up to '14 China Ban/MtGox/other reasons.

Option 1: crypto is dying, Bitcoin will be worth 0.001 BTC

Option 2: crypto is alive, blockchain partnerships disrupt dev team dapps, Bitcoin will be worth 0.001 BTC while altcoins will be worth 0.001 satoshis.

Serious question: is Bitcoin even capable of proper use? I thought the bitcoin dream as an alternative currency died with Blockstream.

if it keeps doing what it's done in the past it will hit $200,000-500,000 in 2 years and 3 years later could be at $2,000,000-5,000,000

The gold use case would value it around $300,000m. If LN takes off and its used as an actual currency it could be $10,000,000-20,000,000 per BTC, assuming fractional reserve banking of bitcoin doesn't occur because its deflationary, otherwise that push the price back to around $300,000 (unlikely). Although, a speculative hype when the masses start converting to BTC could push it to $100,000,000 or beyond. That is in 2018 dollars, not adjusted for inflation.

19k. For the same reason it has to go to 1k for this bear market to end.

In between, as high as 100k before it does a repeat of this 2018 bear market in 2023 and dips 500%.

Zero is possible too I guess if craigcoin manages to succeed with what he is obviously planning to attempt. Which is unlikely

It is a fad but it has a cult following now so it won' t die out. People will still trade them like old star wars figurines or pokeman cards but the value will probably be in the $50-60 dollar range for a bitcoin.

It doesn't seem like Bitcoin can be anything other than digital gold. Other crypto has a chance to become more like real currency though.
