The new golden bull run edition

>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

LETS GO BOY IM WITH YOU

and this actually downplays the quality that 2x provides, it includes all the early market volatility when nobody knew what they are doing

i bet if you do the same work that the article those charts came from from say 1950-current times the best leverage is closing in on 3x

of course at that point you are in REAL trouble during recessions but theoretically i bet 2.5x~ is superior.

it is funny sometimes how people just take 1x leverage/SPY/QQQ as gospel and think anything beyond 1x is some sort of margin scam, when in reality tehre is no real reason for 1x to be the standard except thats just what people started buying in the markets to begin with.

2x is based and superior in all forms if you have iron hands, get with the program brehs

I honestly don't know if they can recover to their past ATH. Everything they come out with are just dying, Warcraft 3 reforged and classic WoW is their most hyped titles for 2019. Can classic WoW save them from their declining sub count? Maybe.
But it takes more than that to get Blizzard back to the ATH. Maybe the Diablo mobile version will actually do good (thanks to asia) while classic WoW and retail WoW combined will keep the sub count higher than usual.

I think they will go down more though, they might turn bullish again in a year from now now the numbers are in for Diablo mobile and classic WoW.

>But the one-year treasury yield is currently below 3%, so Robinhood will initially take a loss on that spread. Fun fact about SIPC and FDIC. The bank they use for cash deposits is FDIC insured. SIPC applies to held securities up to $500k and cash up to $250k.
But the fun fact is that the insurance is not calculated on a per customer basis if there is a loss of funds. Instead, they say they have X number of accounts and get a payout that is equal to ($250k)(X). So if you have $1m you will probably get your whole million back, as most accounts will have less than $250k and the remaining money is used on the large accounts. But everyone is guaranteed at least $250k.

no, order flow lets the HFT firms see how many orders are at each price. so if you and 20000 others place a limit order for AMD at 19.70 they know it beforehand. it's basically free money since they know how many orders sit at each price level.

>The primary advantage of dark pool trading is that institutional investors making large trades can do so without exposure while finding buyers and sellers. This prevents heavy price devaluation which would otherwise occur. If it were public knowledge, for example, that an investment bank was trying to sell 500,000 shares of a security, the security would almost certainly have decreased in value by the time the bank found buyers for all of their shares.

communism inevitably fails because nations exist
when you tell the 1% with 50% of your nations wealth that you are going to take some and promise better things for the 99% with it, the 1% can just immigrate to another country that wont fuck them over
then the remaining 99% (new nations 100%) have %50 of the wealth they used to have, mobs get mad at unfulfilled promises, and you get cascading revolts that cost even more

it has happened every single time in history, and i have no idea how modern day commies cant see it and realize their ideals will never work

Well there are limits to this, especially if you're planning on abolishing or changing the currency system. Wealthy people control money capital, but it's a lot harder to move physical capital in a revolution. Most of the countries where communist parties took control in the 20th century didn't have very much developed physical capital, such as heavy machinery, and what they did have was destroyed in war. I think much of the conditions that caused that to happen were unique to the early-mid twentieth century semi-feudal countries.

It should also be noted, the communist bloc wasn't destroyed by cascading revolts that were the result of capital flight.

Yeah, but still it wasn't capital flight that wrecked them considering that the civil war destroyed everything anyway. you look at the small bourgeoisie class in russia before the revolution, I doubt they would have ever been capable of the industrialization stalin undertook.

>and as is usually the case, china is a bit different (communist party = current "dynasty" with the mandate of heaven)
In many ways yes, but it's also been the communist legacy and the economic power of the communist party that has made china capable of it's current industrial policy. I should mention, this dynasty-ness of the current regime is probably going to be its downfall. The fact that marxism is very popular among the student radicals, and the larger and larger amount of wildcat strikes across the country, eventually they will be faced with a circle they can't square. The contradiction between being founded on a radical working class ideology and accepting billionaire capitalists into the ruling party is one that will have to be resolved, one way or another. No one should forget that the protesters in Tienanmen square were hardline Maoists after all.

The "holodomor" was largely not deliberate attempt to target an ethnic group, and was just one of many famines going on at the time. There were no death camps or drives to exterminate Ukrainians, and this has been excuse used by many actual fascists in Ukraine for their reactionary politics.

What Ukrainian reactionaries allege, however, was specific persecution, citing the restrictions on movement, confiscation of grain, and refusal of outside aid. Yet, all of these things also applied to the rest of the USSR, where famines were also occurring. All I'm trying to do is come to a sober understanding of history.
