Tesla has a good gap of that over something like GM. So it reasons they will probably out compete. Not to mention Elon's advantage in IQ over competitor CEOs in autos.

No, it's definitely possible. But if you start out knowing nothing and think you can pick stocks to get rich within a few days - yeah, you're going to get fucked.
