it doesn't mean much unless there is a name attached to it. a lot of consultants are just unemployed boomer hustlers, but working at a big name consulting firm out of college seems to be reserved for the top tier students

If you have education in a usefull field, there is demand for this knowledge.

For example, as a tax accountant, you could charge good money for Tax consulting ( corporate or private clients)

>we really want to create a buzz here, so lets do something new and fresh that will go viral. can we get a graphic designer from fiverr to work on this?
>my cousin is really good at graphic design, she'll design a really good logo for us

consultation is basically just larping as an entrepanuer with extra steps.

If you're serious, read the classic marketing books. The ones they don't teach in colleges when you pay 30k for an "advertising" degree.

Scientific Advertising by Claude Hopkins
How to Write a Good Advertisement by Victor Schuab
Tested Advertising Methods by John Caples
Kick-Ass Copywriting Secrets of a Marketing Rebel by John Carlton
Maximum Money in Minimum Time by Gary Halbert

Basically, people are completely wrong about how to run a business, how to track customers, how to create advertising that you can measure down to the penny how much money it brought in (as opposed to million-dollar Superbowl ads for Geico and M&Ms that can't be proven to generate even a single new sale - we call those scams in my line of work).
I'm not memeing even a little when I say reading this post should have changed your life forever. You're looking for buckets, fuck, KINGDOMS of wealth? A skillset that will be with you for your entire life that can transform the world? You want job security, in the most powerful sense of the word? Don't pass this by.

This all sounds like a really shitty consultant. Sorry your experience with one scamster has soured you on the entire profession. You can't really believe that there's NOBODY on the planet who could come in and transform your marketing efforts, can you? That NOBODY has this stuff figured out? I suppose all the millionaires on the planet just got lucky, huh?

You can do either, but I'll warn you that having writing experience can actually be a detriment to getting started in writing ads. It's easier to turn an illiterate master salesman into a copywriter than it is to teach an English major how to sell.

Read those books, they pave the way for you. Don't worry about getting a job yet, you're going to be absolute shit at first and nobody with half a brain will pay you for the ads you write in the beginning.

Got friends working for Accenture who are entirely book smarts, no street smarts at all. They work with a team of ~30 people providing "business advice" to Fortune 500 brands, after having NO experience in personal business or business in general. And they're paid extremely well.

I just ignore anyone who says they're consultants unless they have 20 years of experience in the industry. The reason why out of college students can be consultants as a whole is because they're following a specific dialogue drilled into them by their institution. So really the consulting firm is consulting your business and the consultant is just the middle man. Also, some people manage to get consultant title by just helping others use a product. I sell 10,000 hyundais to you, and send a "consultant" along with them to make sure you're getting the best value of use., which again just takes a few weeks of training and a script to follow.

how to be a crypto consultant?

Nothing crazy, just teaching people what bitcoin is and how to trade it on kraken or whatever. Is this feasible? Do I need a FINRA license and shiet? I know lots of old boomers who have no clue what the fuck bitcoin is but are still willing to buy some
