Silver is a better buy ATM, gold is a bit inflated - but gold is patrician.
Metals are a savings hedge against Fiat - not an investment per see.
Neither will make you rich unless there's a zombie apocalypse or Fiat shits the bed.

I have a lot of silver, well for me. About 30 pounds of sterling. I bought an electric forge and work on silver smithing and engraving.

I make small leaves for necklaces (and rings) and sell $14 worth of silver for $30.

But it's just a hobby. I didnt have much luck when the price was higher but the low price is pretty nice for me right now.
