https://mashable.com/article/mayweather-dj-khaled-fined-sec-ico/#vg5PFxz6fsqw

> Mayweather, who neither admitted nor denied the SEC findings, agreed to pay $614,775 in a combination of penalties, disgorgement, and interest. DJ Khaled also didn't cop to the SEC's claims, but still agreed to pay $152,725.

So it looks like mayweather got paid 300k and had to pay 600k, and DJ Khaled got paid 50k and had to pay 150k.

Hopefully /biz/ feels better about their loses, these guys literally went negative 100% and negative 200% on crypto.

Also looks like the people behind that ICO were vanned right after

https://mashable.com/2018/04/03/centra-co-founders-arrested/#ko2CRqMhpgq3

> The charges boil down to Sharma and Farkas making promises to investors that were completely unfounded, including offering a debit card backed by Visa and MasterCard, even though they had no relationship with either company. Furthermore the SEC alleges that the two "created fictional executives with impressive biographies, posted false or misleading marketing materials to Centra’s website, and paid celebrities to tout the ICO on social media."

I did some research and looks like they had to pay back 2x and in khaled's case 3X of what they were paid. Ouch.

the good news is i think we have officially reached the bottom of crypto when shit like this happens. Because normies dont want to talk about it and celebs dont want to be associated with it which is usually when the big guys start accumulating positions.
the question is what though. I just see a sea of absolute shit.

the only coins i do like and may have a shot are
monero
zcash
civic
nano
ark
bitshares
waves
coss

all functional coins

If you want my actual recommendations I wouldn't recommend crypto right now at all. I'm only on /biz/ to have fun, I sold all my crypto last December full disclosure. I wouldn't even recommend shorting it, it's simply too stressful to invest in an asset that trades 24/7. Even wallstreet bankers go home to their families on the weekend. If you asked me for my recommendations it would be for books and movies about business. Here are some:

waves is actually great, the bitcoin NG network and development is probably the best in all of crypto. the new wallet is really slick and its the only dex with WAU Coin. the others on your list are shit but waves is waaaaaaayyyy better than most people know
