>buy stocks because they go up in value so you can sell to someone else who thinks they will go up in value
>still have no say in how the company is run
>still don’t get paid dividends in most cases

How are stocks not a giant pajeet scam?

All stocks (that don't fail) will eventually pay dividends. A stock price is the market estimate of all future per share dividends discounted back to the present. You don't have to get paid dividends while holding a stock for it to be valuable. That's like saying holding an utility token has no value unless you use it yourself.

you get a vote if you buy enough shares dumbass

Except there is nothing that requires that to be true.

It's literally a meme.

Except law. Regardless of the voting rights, if you own a share of a company you are literally part owner of a legal organization.

What's the value of that piece? The fundamental value is according to >>11943782
although the market may value it differently as nobody can predict exactly what that future revenue stream will be.

The key is that there is an additional income stream from the operations of the company.

Compare this to a "token" or cryptoshit where there is no income stream and so the fundamental value is exactly ZERO. In that case the price is pure speculation -- buyers are betting they can offload it for more. That is what makes crypto a scam.

In reality though neither of those are true in most cases. You have absolutely no say in how the company works if you're not a major shareholder and the company can just keep going without paying dividends. It's a giant meme, a ponzi for the fools. You won't even get anything in case of a baknruptcy if you aren't a major shareholder.

And yet many companies have debt greater than their value. This makes their fundamental value LESS THAN ZERO.

How is this not a ponzi again?
