Okay lads here's my plan. I'm an emotionally detached mid-20s something with no social life and a couple of good friends. I still live with my mother because rent prices are absolutely absurd (mortgage payments would be cheaper, but housing prices are also quickly increasing and it's impossible to get a family house sized mortgage being the sole person responsible for the payments).

I fucking hate working but there is no good alternative so I want to do the following: Save up all of my income for 3-5 years while being able to live for basically free. Buy a family sized house, the cost split up around 40% savings and 60% mortgage. Then I'll rent out a part of the house to a good friend of mine for relatively cheap but giving me the piece of mind I'm not stuck with some savage.

I'll use the rent income paired with a small section of my income to pay of the mortgage while saving up probably 60-70% of my income, which I can put towards buying another house 5-6 years after that, allowing me to rent it out with no reservations and drastically cutting down on my working hours.

I'm expecting a massive global recession within 10 years and possibly even within the next 5, so I can potentially get a very good deal on the overinflated housing or get fucked on the first one.

Now tell me why I'm retarded.

if things go well it's probably at least 10 years before I can get the rewards of passive income. I just want to be a NEET and play games. My youth will be long gone and I'll still be a pathetic shut-in. But if I don't have to worry about being able to afford living then I'm fairly well off I guess.
