Steam dollars are a stablecoin.

Discuss.

Sure, but there's no way to transfer them to another person or external account.

You can transfer steam dollers by selling digital items to other people.

Also: If steam dollars are a stablecoin, are TF2/Dota2/CS:GO items cryptocurrencies?

Steam is actually a legit way to make money if you do some research. You can actually trade and hold items and make very good profit if you know what to buy. For example, I bought 100 of these bad boys for 25 cents a pop 4 years ago:
https://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/730/EMS%20Katowice%202014%20Challengers

Unfortunately, I sold too early, for around 200 bucks a piece, but still. I made 800x in a few years, completely legit. I used those items to sell straight for BTC to get into crypto before the last bull run.

By the way, if anyone is interested, you can buy the second oldest edition of those CSGO stickers: https://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/730/ESL%20One%20Cologne%202014%20Challengers I am holding a couple hundred of those right now which I also bought at around 25 cents.

Its honestly worth looking into others as well. I made a number of threads before but everyone ignored me so I gave up

I sold direct to r2pleasent for BTC multiple times. It was kinda sketchy at first but after the first couple I trusted him not to rip me off. I'm sure there are lots of other buyers as well out there. Tons do it for tf2 keys, which you can just convert on the steam market place but you lose that 15% commission from the market place sale. The alternative is to trade direct for keys through trading forums so you dont lose that fee. You can also trade for high value skins 10k + in value and trade for btc/paypal through a middle man. I don't have any experience with the others I listed though, they were just some things I considered had R2Pleasent not worked out.
