btc-e was around since like 2011 and actually reimbursed the clients when their site was hacked in the past. Instead of REAL scam shtiholes like mt gox or cryptsy who exitscammed at the first opportunity.

Even in 2017, when one of the top of their managers was arrested by the fbi (who also seized the servers) they re-launched as wex and paid back the $$$ when everyone, including myself, were convinced that it's fucking over.
