It'd be funny as hell if someone created a crypto coin where the mining method was training your computer to be a node in a network that grows successful at stock picking. The nodes which contribute to good picks are rewarded with a shitcoin while the coin creator gets good stock picks. Picks which contribute to higher gains percentages get more shitcoin rewards, and you could add in a time dampening factor versus work reward so theres only a limited amount of feasibly minable coins like bitcoin (sans advancements in GPUs of course). The target could be something like turn $1000 into $100000 by 2024, diminishing returns are made as time expires or the goal is closer to being reached. Imagine all the sad faces once filthy coin miners realized they were lining the coin creators pockets by solving math problems for the game they should have been playing all along lol.
