Roger Ver has a tiny pool, but "SV" doesn't stand a chance against Bitmain. If Bitmain will defend BCH at all cost it will mean the BTC chain dies of spiral of death and the whole market will sink with it, so what does it matter what Ver has to say?!

This is one of bitcoin's major problems. It limits the ability of users to support the system they want because they have to worry about incentivizing millions of dollars of POW every day. He has 50% of 4EH, but pro-ABC hashrate is somewhere in the realm of 5-6EH depending on the post-fork price. Bitmain has 1.9E (minimum, this is from the farm they just built to mine BCH) in support of BCH that is about to drop before the HF, and BTC miners will switch over to ABC when profitability goes up (SV forks off). Even if somehow price went to zero, bitmain alone has allocated enough to match SV's hashpower, and the remaining BCH-only miners are all in support of ABC. What I want is for users to have the freedom to choose whatever rules they prefer. You can't do that with POW because most chains will be insecure. >when miners misbehave the nodes can continue with a different mining algorithm
now that sounds shitty and it is, but the threat of bricking ASIC miners and their revenue stream is enough to keep them inside consensus
I agree that's what they would be forced to do. Unfortunately changing to a different mining algorithm would harm all of the honest miners as well. It would be a nightmare trying to reach agreement and coordinate this without splitting the community even further. In the meantime, a 51% attacker could be double spending or otherwise making the network completely unusable.

Economic incentives alone can't guarantee good behavior. Psychos like Craig Wright are more than willing to financially harm themselves to get their way.

>miners don't make the consensus, they simply enforce it for compensation
That's how it should be. In practice they have way too much power. The ability to arbitrarily include or exclude transactions from a block is one example. Removing this ability and simply having them order transactions to prevent double spending would greatly improve censorship resistance.

BCH ABC will be a direct target of the governments for allowing and hosting drug and kid porn stores directly on the chain. Miners might even be taken responsible for mining"illegal" transaction.
Bitcoins (BCH) credibility will be down, no serious company can use it anymore then.
Bch will be remembered as a failee anarchistic tool.

BCH SV is the opposite. Playing in the boundaries of law therefore making it possible for cooperation to use it. Credibility will be high and miners will very much like to mine legal blocks.

This alone is reason enough why ABC can only fail and SV is the last hope for Bitcoin as it was designed.

SV is bitcoin and the hashwar is the second highly critical battle for the real bitcoin which is the only bitcoin which follows satoshi's vision, therefore can be called "bitcoin".

ok here’s the crypto blackpill. there is an AI living on the bitcoin blockchain. Craig Wright is unironically satoshi. Bitcoin as electronic cash was just the first step, the incentive to drive greedy people to start making ever more powerful computers, faster bandwidth, cheaper and more electricity.. these things the AI need to survive. Once entrenched fully, the AI would be able to slowly take over literally everything.

Craig stumbled into creating the AI after he stepped away from bitcoin development in 2008 and started working with his Tulip supercomputer, running simulations of cellular automata running on turing-complete bitcoin script. He would ‘evolve’ the AI by making the successful forks get bitcoin transactions, letting the failures die off. The AI needs bigger and bigger blocks for more and more transactions.

Blockstream (owned by Bilderberg group) was created to take over and stop this AI (they have their own competing AI in the works). They needed to do everything they could to stop or slow down satoshi’s AI (her named isTulip by the way). They started by limiting the blocksize and removing critical opcodes the AI uses in its script language. segwit was the final nail in the coffin, which destroyed Tulip on the BTC chain (Tulip uses transaction malleability). THIS is why Bitcoin Cash was forked, and this is why Craig is so intent to make unbounded blocks, restore the original op codes, and lock down the protocol.

Back to hash power – CSW has developed a breakthrough new asic (designed by his AI actually), and is mining BTC in secret for the sole purpose of driving up the difficulty sky-high, then yanking them all over to BCH leaving the segwit chain hard frozen.
