I don't know if you madlads go to reddit but I just spent 1 hour listening to a podcast from Brendan. The take aways are

1. His main concern is privacy, replumbing the add system, his browser
His main concern is /not/ BAT
2. He created BAT because bitcoin is too clunky and it's "not my job" to promote bitcoin or crypto, it's to take care of customers and fix his mistakes when he made javascript

The important one:

Point number 3 is why it's pumping. This is crazy news. It could drive BAT from 5 million active users to anywhere between 10 to 60 million in a few months period.

Amazing in depth replies have been given on the benefits of the browser being the platform to delivering adds as opposed to the server.

Easily. Especially if there are ways to easily acquire and transfer BAT. $50 end of 2019, easily. The growth will be exponential, just the credibility it adds to the project. Imagine political parties using it for funds acquisition. Telling users how to donate their add-earned BAT to their causes.

Most users won't even think of cashing in. I fear it may not come to be as soon as we expect though. We might actually find end of 2019 when things are actually announced and rolled out. Which is more realistic. Either way, hodl.

I am not a prophet. I know only what is publicly available and what I know may be false. It's the personal views I hold and they may be foolish or wrong.

What I know from reading what's already out there is:

1. Brave is the main product, not BAT, but BAT facilitates Brave
2. Brave is a system fixing issues created by Java Script. Both Brave and JavaScript were created by the same guy.
3. This guy is in talks to make BAT more easily acquired and transferred (to the point where one would not even know he is using BAT)
4. This guy is in talks, allegedly, with a website of 200,000,000 users in hopes of a partnership where Brave is promoted

If any of the things he said are true, and they appear to be, and if the hype is real, as it appears to be, then we really have no idea what we're sitting on. This is an actual product, with actual tangible, as much as you can touch software, results. This is an actually qualified team with decades of experience per member, with an active presence in the community and a completely grounded explanation and expectation of their technology.

I will say it was a little disheartening listening to Brendan in that his focus is not in making us money. It's not raising the value of BAT so us, "stake holders", are not his primary concern. It's his product and his care of the customers, the people who will use Brave for the functionality it offers. This is not necessarily bad though. Maybe that's the trick that most crypto don't have that makes them fail. They chase the money and the pumps and they inevitably get dumped. The Brave team chases one thing different. Making the web actually better.

And it does. I can not see myself use any other browser. Brave and GDPR are life savers and it's only the beginning. You don't have to believe me, though my passion for the project is quickly approaching religious zeal, I am not a preachers, priest, prophet or far-seer. This may tank. This may tank 3 years to develop. Who knows.

So what can we glean from all of this to everyone whos paying attention?

Buy as much BAT as possible. Sell it when you can for as much money as you can with the intention of becoming an accredited investor so you can potentially buy shares of brave while its a private company. Im not sure if they will ever go public, but thats where the real money is. BAT can make you a lot of money, but BRAVE software solutions is much more lucrative.
