Why would you invest in a project that sells hardware before the software which the hardware requires is ready? Would you trust Microsoft if they tried to sell you a laptop before Windows was finished?

Never thought about it that way. Sounds shady af

If you dont want to buy the official miners then you can just buy raspberry pis instead

The official miners are just marketing gimmicks to get people involved, and to get the project off the ground

In 3 years or so you will have chinks manufacturing their own ASICs for it, so you can buy one of them instead

I’m talking about the hardware wallet and the antennas. You can’t make your own version of those.

So they are scams basically. Something to milk investors even more.

In order to test the distributed software as it is being released. Synth recently mentioned this is possible because they have implemented automatic testing and deployment of updates. This is also very valuable for other projects that want to build on Skycoin's technology.

Not yet because there are like 2 prototypes done and unfinished. You cannot buy hardware and antennas either, yet. It is all prepared to be easily DIY. Your point?

>> No.11665960

>>11665828
So you’re saying they will allow DIY antennas and hardware wallets. Where do you get this info from?

You wouldn't. But this is a global meshnet, so fortunately they set up a global test to work on the software.

The original miners are for early enthusiasts, not daytraders and soccer moms.
