I just saw a presentation from a guy who works with high net worth individuals at JP Morgan and he said that he doesn't see any signs of recession in the next 18-24 months, and he hasn't greatly altered any of his client's portfolios in this market since he isn't sure where price are going in the short term.

basically that is the general consensus

dividend companies have outperformed other companies on average, but if you get into a stock like AMZN or AAPL early, theres much more potential for building your nut to sell and use towards dividend stocks for income. You can also just start out with little growth and dividends and DRIP them until compounding interest grows your income for you.

I do both at the same time. growth in mutual funds (because I have no idea nor the time to research the next best thing) and then i manage my own divvy portfolio for growing safe, passive income.

but essentially, stock market is a wealth preservation, not a wealth generation engine. if you want to generate significant wealth you better trade, only tiny percent are good enough but as long as you trade anything under 100m usd capital you could in theory get insane results we've seen this in best retail traders with verified track records

I love seeing when that happens. There was a similar incident during the August dude weed run where some article put the OTC ticker for Aurora Cannabis in as ABCFF. Aurora's actual OTC code is ACBFF. People bought that ABC one, some mining penny stock, and it pumped for about a day before folks figured it out. On the ABC chart you can see a spike from 0.12 up to 0.29 from August 9th - 10th. Then dump back down to the descending flat the company had going before.

Well AMRN has its quarter release tomorrow. Shall see what effect it has on the stock. So far things are still looking up. Seems more and more likely this is a winner. The final hurdle is Nov 10 (Drug tests results) and then getting the FDA to approve it. If it passes both these steps, well the sky is the limit from then on. Some people are saying the stock will hit $40 by year end with it topping out at least $80. If you want in, now's your chance, Once this baby takes off who knows how high it'll climb.
