It doesn't work like that. Your body won't start fueling on fat after a measely 20 hours of """fasting""". If you want to argue what I am saying you must have tried IF and 3 days+ fasting. After 2-3 days, then your body actually uses fat storage. IF will only reduce your insulin resistance and make you consume less food. It will also make you feel like shit without caffeine/modafinil.

I didn't think you would bring this up but autophagy only occurs when the body needs every source of energy that is available to it. When you dry fast, your body needs water so it purges cells for water after only 2 days. During water fasting, your body only eliminates waste tissues such as excess skin and tumors for a source of nitrogen.

It depends on your weight/goals. I suggest you start with a 5 day water fast. Consumme nothing but water. It is common that people put potassium and sodium in the water for electrolytes but it tastes like shit. Buy gellules and fill them with the amount of potassium (look for No-salt, a slat alternative) and sodium (salt) that you need. Take them regularly but dont take more than you need. Also look up snake juice

You can't lift and exercise that often and expect to make without eating carbs. Make sure that you're eating starchy, high fiber carbs, but you need carbs none the less. Potatoes, oats, etc.
