Would /biz/ recommend being a banker as a job? How hard is it to get a job and is it worth it ml

Finance is sales jocks. 4chan is autism. You won't make it. Go Accounting or Engineering

generally speaking, banking jobs pay relatively well so theres not going to be any shortage of people applying. this means that even with good grades from a good school and relevant internships your chances of getting the job you want is still low. as for "is it worth it" thats not really anything you can find a good answer to. if working long hours doing boring stuff to make more money than most people your age is something you think is ok, then it may be worth it.

Should also mention that they work looonnng hours. I have a friend that works 80 hours a week minimum. When you consider the hourly basis, a nurse makes more per hour than your average Junior Analyst at an Investment Bank. That $150K starting salary + bonus doesn't look so nice now.
