But since the books for the 'good' coins are thin, the premiums are going up, up, up, and the value of tethers are going down, down, down. So you could buy bitcorns for 6000~ not too long ago, and tethers were worth 1~ dollar. Now bitcorn costs 7000+, with premiums on most exchanges, and tethers have lost 9+% of their purchasing power.

All of this is adding a huge premium to BTC, and the value of it's skyrocketed due to how thin the supply is. Remember that if you are a US citizen you are forbidden to own Tether. From their own terms of service:

For those who don't understand why TUSD is such a hot thing right now, it's because exchanges like HitBTC and Binance only allow tether to be traded for BTC or TUSD. Either you pay the huge premiums and wait forever, or you change one 'stablecoin' into another 'stablecoin.'
