In 2008 the world was taken by surprise with the recession. The fallout snowballed. I don't think 2018 will follow that same pattern. There is a great deal of anticipated fear, peoples fingers are already on the sell button this time, they are gun shy from 10 years ago. Where as the 2008 drop looked like we rolled down a hill, I suspect 2018 will look quite a bit more like the BTC drop from 19K. An initial panic sell off, then a fast rebound back to "norm", only for the snowball to then begin its roll. The first chart is the DJI during the 2008 crisis. The second is BTC from the winter of 2017.

lol I deal bullion and gold for a living. Though I have only been saying this shit for about a month, actually if this is a crash, it is about 2 years before I anticipated it.

Wrong. Many people knew shit is about to hit the fan in 2008. And expected much worse! But Fed stepped in bailed out the financial system. I think this time it's going to be different.

Well anon there is not much else to do in the current system of capitalisam even if you see it comming and people alarm that it is comming.

Banks were supposed to keep stricts regulations and more capital but greed - so they just don't.

Thing is if one Major link breaks it all goes the shiter.

It can be a major company or a country like greece or italy

many people? Where do you get that from? Perhaps some wallstreet insiders, I am talking about boomers with retirement accounts, the other 90% of the market that doesn't get traded around unless there is panic in the streets.

>implying this system is capitalism

Central bank printing out unlimited money to prop the economy up with highly incentivized debt spending is not capitalism
