we've been over this.

there is no such thing as a cryptocurrency "industry." ethereum and all of the icos it has brought with it are all worthless scams and should all go to zero. that is what is rightfully dragging down their "crypto index."

there is no crypto industry. there is only bitcoin, and bitcoin mining. that's the only industry aspect. no one else is doing anything or creating anything except scams and marketing bullshit.

crypto = bitcoin. that's it. bitcoin is bullish. yet another kikeICO #999 is not bullish, and should go to zero

also: fake news.

No. Crypto is 3 things:

1. Bitcoin (you were right about that)
2. Smart contracts i.e. blockchain + LINK
3. Monero

If anyone still can't see this then they don't deserve to be here.

Guess what, Bitcoin is a digital asset and can thus be challenged in a digital asset competition. Just because you want the universe to be simple and agree on BTC doesn't mean the universe gives a fuck. The game is much much more complicated than that.

No. Blockchains will compete for the smart contract space, but Bitcoin is a different animal.
Personally, I don't really grok why BTC is still pre-eminent, especially given that fiat gateways do away with having to buy BTC.
But this is still where we are now.
I predict there'll be 3 blockchains win out eventually, each one catering to a different smart contract need.
Ethereum won't be one of them. Probably will be EOS, ADA and one from out of left-field. But ETH is shit.

Also, buy LINK.

I admit, LINK won't do anything until mainnet/reputation mechanism is delivered. This could be anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 years from now.
But I promise, once it gets out what LINK is - and the smartcontract phenomenon becomes like a household name - you'll wonder how it could ever have been worth less than $500.
Also, think how crypto will consolidate in the coming years. You're looking at like maybe ~10 projects sharing a 10 trillion Marketcap.
Fucking insane, makes me giddy just thinking about it.

>> No.11357565

>>11357364
You're still oversimplifying it so your brain could process it. BTC can not be the only currency just for the single fact alone that it doesn't have private transactions.
Smart contracts will be memes for a while, nobody cares about them before any Cryptocurrency reaches mainstream. Eth will still be 'the platform' for years to come because it was the first, like BTC was.
The market won't care that you want things to be simple - each platform/currency has good incentives to spread their ecosystems while not one has reached mainstream yet so stop pretending you know anything.

>> No.11357615

You can't store wealth with any crypto yet, you can only gamble which one of them will be used for that purpose in the future and make gains for it. Yes it's likely BTC at this point.

>> No.11357642

I get it; you're still holding and hoping. What is it? REQ? AMB?
The truth is, "spaces" do simplify. That is the law of the jungle. This is especially true in the tech world. The market wouldn't tolerate a MySpace and a Facebook. One had to go.
To survive in any ecosphere you have to have something that others don't have. In the real physical world this can be through access to certain governments via lobbying, access to land through war, access to raw materials through regulatory capture etc.
Crypto will not sustain shitcoins for much longer. I argue its actually sustaining it now, desu.

Also, buy LINK.

>> No.11357694

I'm holding mostly BTC and ETH.
I agree that it will simplify, but don't pretend you know for sure towards what it will simplify to.
Remember if actual adoption comes and BTC will clog up just like in January, do you think people will start making channels because
>muh BTC
Or they will just see what else is on the market?
