The stock market took a hit early this year. I should know, I got hit hard by that. Bitcoin crashed too. I don't believe there is any sort of correlation between the two though, not yet anyway.

bitcoin is statistically uncorrelated with the stock market. however, bitcoin is literally designed to be a hedge against inflation, central bank kikery, and hyperdebt.

so bitcoin will be a safe harbor in a recession. i think the powers that be are terrified of bitcoin rising before/during a recession (which we're right on time for) because as people lose faith in the dollar and the stock market they'll gain faith in bitcoin.

the altcoin casino is a different matter altogether though.
