I need a final and definitive redpill on Chainlink. What makes it so special out of 2023+ cryptocurrencies, where many of them are aiming on doing the same thing?

nothing. the biggest redpill is realizing that even if their tech is 100% perfect and exactly what everybody wants, which it isn't, and there are serious issues with their incentive/economic model/token, 99% of ICOs will fail long term regardless. so chainlink already is a less than 1 in 100 chance at being relevant in 5 years.

Ok guys, as a programmer and Link investor I've just run a node with Astraea just to prove by myself if that's really a decentralized oracle.

I got to admit that, holly shit, this oracle works really nice, I've detected (via Astraea) for example the weather last night in my city, Dublin.

It works in the same way than chainlink, but thinking that this will be probably free... I'm really considering if CL it's a good investment or not. Also, the CL code and nodes still have some bugs and big failures, so I think that October-November will be the right months to sell, maybe at 0,40 or 0,50.

Listen I genuinely care about about Anons financial well being. Its hard as shit to get ahead in life now, not just working 9-5 for the rest of your life. The sooner you start saving the sooner you can get ahead in life. Chainlink is a meme started by 4chan (an infamous trolling board) to lead people to financial ruin. This is NOT A JOKE. Don't let your saved wealth be thrown away over night. Vitalik Buterin the creator of ethereum said himself the days of making x100 or x1000 are over, that right the guy who created the second most popular crypto said himself those days are over. Now 4chan is trying to get people to lose even more money after the December/January bloodbath. Smart money already exited the crypto world. Crypto is basically a highly specialized database, companies don't need this. They will just create their own private blockchains. There is no need for crypto chainlink isn't even needed to run the nodes. Think XRP when you think chainlink. The company ripple (smartcontracts) is doing well but the coin XRP(chainlink) isn't even needed for the companies technology. Considering what Vitalik said "The days of making x100 or x1000 returns are over." Chainlink needs a 399900% increase in price over the next couple of months to reach $1000 this is ludicrous. Don't fall for it, chainlink its a meme to fuck you over. Consider this for chainlink at current price to reach $1 you need an increase of 700% or a 233% increase every month until EOY. This is a 4chan meme to siphon money out of the hands of the already vulnerable.

This is one of the dumbest pseud vids I have ever seen.
> cl's value will be dependent on fees
If this was actually true and CL's value was dependent only on fees in relation to an "anchor coin," his math would be correct... and even then it's dubious at best because CL is blockchain agnostic so its ultimate value won't be tied into one particular coin or token - it can be tied into basically any of them using adapters. He also completely disregards collateral, staking, or the decentralized aspect of any of this. He also has no idea about smart contracts either - apparently they will take maybe 10+ years to develop, but disregards how long they have actually been in development while downplaying them as simple if then executions. Being able to do these functions in a tamper proof way and with no central point of failure outside of human error gives them the power to kill entire financial departments, but this is apparently too hard for a guy who "totally knows the cryptographic side of this" to wrap his head around.

He's an absolute brainlet, and so are you for posting his uneducated drivel.

“It’s better. Decentralized oracles in Ethereum are a hack designed to overcome the fact that you can’t do something like TLS. Enigma nodes already act like decentralized oracles in addition to executing secret contracts. So you don’t need something like Chainlink basically. Or Oraclize.”

I am currently running an Astrea node that feeds nachomen market data into a smart contract that auto sells for 2x, it is literally printing money automatically. This is really the power of Chainlink, pity that most newfags are too techno-incompotent to understand the untapped potential

>> No.11287387

if link works it will make an industry for data, it will commoditise data and make those who can provide it the best wealthy. Which would in turn facilitate the dependency of many societal systems on the efficiency of autonomous contracts

I think the economics of their validation process or how they can align good data provision with financial reward is not based on any empirical evidence and has the sophistication of an undergraduate business major who read a bloomberg article on smart contracts

but this is crypto stupider shit has gone to the moon

>> No.11287403

>>11287327
No one ever said human error wasn't a factor in this, but here's something which will blow your tiny mind - until we have AI this will always be a problem. Smartcontracts + CL eliminates the capacity for error from the point of entry (and even automates most of the data going into the contract so this risk is minimalized) through to the iron clad execution of the agreed terms of the contract, as well as giving the process 100 percent uptime and basically making it hack proof. And no, Sybil attacks in this context are a meme thanks to SGX and CL's certification system. If you can't see the value in this, you're too dumb to be having this conversation or you're playing some kind of game with me where you're larping as a retard.
