This thread is for all of us who bought in in december and held all the way to the bottom, where we share ideas as to make extra money through side jobs, gigs, and reselling on ebay/amazon.

What are you anons doing to make up financial losses from crypto? Anyone else thinking of doing some yard work for neighboring boomers to make some extra cash this year? Let's help each other out get out of this mess with ideas, tips, and suggestions.

Good thread.
t. money for rent until December

1. Alright, well I am financially ruined now. But I made some good decisions in December/February which may save my ass. Funded a startup of which I am leading marketing, spending days reading marketing books, case studies and so forth. My friend who is a serial entrepreneur is leading the project and well shit is looking fine. Unlikely that I can rely on any income here for 2018 though. Lots of work for nothing, for now. But project is looking promising, at this point alone we could sell it for upwards of 250k. We had an offer for 150k. Self funded at 80k.

2. I am applying to jobs right left and center along with putting in a well-fare application. Never thought it would get this far, but yep here I am. Hoping to get a job relatively soon so I can take my mind of Crypto for a while. Will start putting 250/500 EUR a month back into Crypto. If we actually drop below 3k, I'll put in over hours and get a second job.

3. I have some small side hustles, like wedding photography, flipping counterfeit watches, making websites, doing SEO and some other internet bullshit. Was making like 1000 EUR (at peak once 7000 EUR) a month with that before I got into Crypto. Dropped that completely, so I am starting over from scratch here too. Hoping I can make at least another 500 EUR monthly.

For me the best case scenario right now is Bitcoin trading sideways for a year.
I'll get the startup on its feet, and manage to grind to maybe 5-10 BTC just from working/hustlin'
Should be doable considering I have nothing else to look forward to.

Go with WordPress and find a decent website builder theme and learn how to use it well. I have zero programming skills and only know a little CSS/PHP/HTML. WordPress enabled me to make about 100+ websites, both for myself (affiliate marketing) and for others with very little knowledge. I made the most sites for local businesses, just search for them on FB or Craigslist.....even though I am in Europe, that is what I did because there are so many newly founded business in the US that it is easy to get clients there. There's always some new business (nail salon, restaurant, flower store...etc) who just started and only has FB. You can easily charge them 500$, and thats pretty much 100% profit if they say yes.

Didn't lose any in Crypto but I dropped out of college (business; I'm schizophrenic and went off my meds for a while which led to a belief that the doctors were after me and put me in a vicious cycle and my professors were out to drag me down too, but long story short I'm medicated again and working) and am still financially ruined. Been doing better, though; living below my means by eating smaller portions and more filling foods, limiting entertainment money, reusing and fixing things instead of buying new, thrift shopping for clothes when I need them, and taking the bus instead of driving a car. That last one is the hardest; I feel like it costs a lot in time.

I was in some credit card debt too, and I've been saving 50% of what I'm not spending (presently at $500 after a couple of months of work) and paying cc debt down with the other half of that extra money. Happy to report that my credit score went up 17 points since I last checked!

It's not exactly the most efficient route but I used to paint and have been thinking of getting back into it. It's for the passion of it but in the back of my mind, there's that thought that I could sell my paintings. There's a specific niche for local landscapes that always seems popular around here; it's a touristy area (long-term plan is to move somewhere more affordable, but the trick is affording to move in the first place). I like those enough that I could paint them for a while and not get too sick of it, then when I have a name for myself here I can maybe bring that with me to wherever I go next.

I host them myself, I got 10$/m hosting on namecheap and you get a CPanel on which you can install WordPress on any of your domains with a single click. Also create email accounts for clients. I use a new .com domain each client.

Do you indefinitely host the sites for your clients or do you eventually hand it over? Sorry if it's a dumb question

>> No.11264484

>>11264422
I have a minor question, how often do they ask of you to update their website for them? How much do you charge when they need an extra page added or something minor? Do you do it for free?

Just trying to figure out what is reasonable/expected in this situation for the future

>> No.11264623

>>11264481

Yes, I have always hosted them indefinitely. But it is better to set up a recurring contract for yearly hosting fees. I'd charge something like 50$-100$/yr after the first year. You can host like 20 websites on namecheap, so the hosting pays for itself with 1 client. If they want to have it transferred over, I have always done that for free. But I kind of rolled into this business, so I never really made contracts and stuff like that. If you seriously are looking into getting into this, then I would definitely figure some contracts out for such cases.

>>11264484

depends on how big the website is. If they have a store and want new items added every now and then I charge 5$-25$ for revisions so I don't get a email every day. Even if its just 1 item I charge, because if I don't they suddenly think they can spam my inbox until I reply and help them out. If its a smaller website with only text then I do it for free. Protip: sometimes they want things you can't do, like illustrations or flyers and stuff. Just get that stuff done on fiverr and charge ontop. Upselling is a great way to make extra $

>how long did it take you to become proficient in website design on WordPress?

About a month, I started out through Amazon affiliate and Google ads, so for a long time I was making websites for myself. kept fine-tuning them daily, writing content for myself or paying people to write it for me. Generally focused on SEO so I would get views and have people buy products on Amazon through my information based sites. Best way to get started since there is a lot of room to fuck up and correct it before you start creating sites for others.

> How many clients do you have now?

Active? Only 3, hosting about 40 domains I don't actively maintain. Like I said, kinda starting over after getting distracted by Crypto.

can't explain it in full, it is too much info but actually not that hard to get started and make websites. Google for amazon affiliate tutorials. Reddit has lots of info too. The websites I made basically boiled down to review sites on products and adding comparisons and links to Amazon of those products. If someone clicked the link and bought something I get a %. I always targeted obscure expensive stuff, like 1000$+ high end industrial floor sanders kek. Competition for such niches are non-existent, so getting it high on google is easy.. However; affiliate marketing is a much larger headache than just selling websites.
