One ticket can't hurt. The people that spend $20/day on this have gambling addictions though

The odds are extremely fucking slim of you ever winning the lottery but if you don't have a ticket in your pocket, your chances are 0.

>> No.11244095

I bought one ticket. It costs 2 dollars. The fuck is this nigger shit? It used to cost 1dollar per ticket. Anyway its fun just thinking about what if

>> No.11244118

watching the lottery number callout when you have a lottery ticket is already more exciting than some movies I have paid 5x that cost to watch in the theatre
so really you're paying $1-$3 to be entertained, with a small bonus that in an exceedingly rare circumstance you might change your life

Hello grandpa, your nursing home doesn't block the 4chins?

>> No.11244212

It's called the poor tax. It's the small chance of hope you can have each week or month. Just don't abuse it and think you're going to win, just enjoy the nice thoughts of "what if" from that 1 ticket.

I'm suprised there's not more people on here into betting on horse races. Factoring in all the different aspects of things is a lot of fun, kinda like researching crypto or stocks.

You can buy them, but the money should come out of your entertainment budget. Never food, fuel, utilities, etc.

This is better gambling. Stop tossing away your money on ridiculous longshots and bet ponies.
Bet everything to show. Every once in a while there's a race where every horse has shit odds. Bet on all of them, it's basically a guaranteed win.

This. I've never played the lotto, but people just need to recognise that it's entertainment - not investment.

If you like playing the game, then pay money for it. But don't expect that you'll ever actually profit from it.

>> No.11245052

Additional horse meme tip. Odds change as people bet prior to the race starting. They predictably bet on "sure things" like 2:1 or 3:1 odds. Their payouts get worse before the race starts. Bet on horses with odds that look bad but actually aren't, especially fractional odds like (11/3):1 which will be read as shitty because of the 11 but are actually good. It is 3.67:1.

I live 10 minutes away from Keeneland. It's literally heaven on earth. They have booths set up full of "betting pros" to give normies misleading tips on "oh this horse did pretty well in the mud one time" "Oh this jockey has never lost on horses from so-and-so farm"

Easy money aside it's sun dress heaven

Pretty much all tips are bogus, you can't predict this shit. I focus more on risk/reward. What do I stand to gain with this bet I'm making, is it enough to justify that risk, and am I betting on too much of a longshot? The best thing ever is when good horses' odds change before the race so your possible payout increases. As a rule, I start the season with $100. If I lose it all I'm finished. Don't want to end up a degenerate.
Saratogian here.
Funny watching roasties try to stand in heels for hours in the heat lmfao.

Find stats in the program that disagree with current odds. And watch the horses walk the paddock. Some of the low odds horses will be cocky as fuck and faster than the program.
