I am experienced with Photoshop, I already have designs and a target market in mind, and I want to start selling T shirts/merch.

What are your thoughts on this? I know in general it's probably completely oversaturated, but have you had any experience with sites like Shopify/Teespring/Amazon Merch, and would you recommend them to start off with? Am I being an idiot?

Use apliiq haven't used them yet but it looks like they got some good stuff coming out of there. They have a very helpful and informative series on their YouTube channel, I too have a some designs and potential market but not computer of Photoshop skills.

Designing and making them is the easy part. Marketing and selling them is a whole different story.

would it be worth creating stores on as many platforms as i can? any ideas on marketing and getting the word out there?

>>11230186
ive only looked into drop-ship orders from online vendors that do all that stuff for you, since it costs nothing

will check it out. suppose you can outsource the designs

what are some of the obvious plans of attack then?

social media pages (insta, facebook, twitter)
advertising yourself through niche facebook groups (allowed?)
paying for banners/social media shoutouts (expensive?)

I do this. Merch By Amazon, also on Shopify + POD sites and a few as a Amazon seller but with different Merch than shirts.

very cool
as a side hustle or do you spend a lot of time on it? ballpark of earnings?
how did you go about marketing your merch?

Side hustle. Main business is mobile apps.
Merch by Amazon = $600/month profit
Shopify + POD = $1-2k/month profit
Most design is outsourced for about $1/design. I could make more but I’m lazy and uploading designs gets tedious for me and I’m mostly focused on my app business at the moment.

have you done anything in the way of marketing, or just stick them on your shop and wait?

Mba is all organic. Shopify is marketed on Instagram only.
