But it was formed because institutions were showing tonnes of interest through 2015 and 2016 and eventually became so many that they decided to just form a group for it. no, retail investors are exactly the reason why btc pumped to 20k and alts made people millionaires. Institutional investors en masse have never been in crypto, and certainly not in 2015.
