I use debit/credit card on circle and I only had to show my driver's license.

This took me a while for me to figure out and it's kind of slow for me,

you go to deposits and withdrawals,
then you find your currency, like ETH,
then there is small link-looking button that says something like Generate Address
Then from your wallet you can send your ETH to that address,

then in polo you can enter in how much ETH you want to take from your wallet as well as the address of your wallet you are sending from.

Keep in mind the amount of ETH will be a little bit less due to small fees
