If I want to get approved for options trading from TD is it pretty tough, or generally will they let almost anyone do it? Also would you recommend a cash or margin account? I honestly dont see any option traders talk about the differences between them. I just want to buy calls and puts

Technical breakout on RTI. It busted out of the symmetrical triangle I posted about last Friday evening. Triangle breakout applies to both the daily and weekly charts. Weekly is extremely bullish with MACD and Stochastic RSI crosses.

I’m a relatively new to the game anon with 10k to put in. I have a lot of time that I can wait so medium/long term holding is fine by me, but I lack massive purchasing power for the supremely expensive stocks. What can I funnel money towards that can pay out a healthy dividend in the medium/long term without being a gigantic risk? Why does all this info online always recommend some boomer tier portfolio even if you are 20-30 years from retirement with a bunch of bonds and awful 'stable' with no growth stocks?

Why if I am in my 20s would I not be in 100% stocks? Many articles I have seen recommend anywhere between 1-2.5x leverage long term is ideal returns for SP500 and NDX, why are people having portfolios with leverage .8 or even less (accounting for bonds being basically worthless).

i mean ive traded bonds a lot this year because theyve had nice easy swings that are good for long options. and this wouldnt be the first time ive seen the yields get puffed up to their near term peak, just BARELY before some sort of intl panic sets in. in fact from the perspective of the bigboy bond trader this makes a lot of sense as theyre buying million dollar lots of the actual securities, so getting the slightly better yield is actually very important for those planning to hold to maturity.
