>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

youre not a very subtle guy eh?
he was implying that the SEC already has him but they dont usually pounce until the stock starts getting hammered (obviously to protect their buddies on the BoD). none of what he said had anything about dudeweed either. his note on the bond yields blowing out was something he dropped here prior to it happening, another rumor he had heard. i think hes more well connected than most around here. plus, i recognize that poster and hes usually very well informed

the guy im quoting in those crossthread links is a guy who usually doesnt post here. but he comes by occasionally and usually drops good hints.
i recognize him because of the way he types and especially the "fiduciary responsibility" part. i know weve talked about TSLA and a few other things before.

but hey, you go on thinking that was me who for some reason has been cryptically changing my whole typing style and hopping IPs in order to get everyone to believe TSLA is financially on thin ice (which is already the tacit conclusion round these parts anyways). ya know, that actually makes a lot of sense no that you say it like that....

So, is everything in the stock market at this point basically self fulfilling prophecy?

Since everyone has developed meme charts and patterns do so many investors just use the meme charts and patterns that the markets all just happen to go that way?

Like this meme for example. How come something like bitcoin or the communist government controlled market follow this almost perfectly? Whay I noticed during the whole bitcoin thing is the sheer amount of people who shilled this chart as everything was going towards the peak. Then, like clockwork, it followed these lines perfectly.

Isn't that because everyone was expecting it to do that so they bought and sold in a way that made this the reality?

It's not their fault on that. RIV is getting on the stock exchange by doing a reverse takeover. Common method of going public. The process is contingent on completing that reverse takeover right before listing. Bunch of paperwork and cash moving around. When reverse takeover is complete, TSXV can then announce a listing date. This is currently rumored to be Thursday September 20th. Whole thing doesn't take long but no date can be official until everything is tied up tidy like buttoned down squared away.

its not, for so many reasons its too l;ate to type up 500 words though so TLDR:

china has been a united "country" for the past 3000 or so years, in one form or another

india has been a collection of small princedoms and kingdoms for the past 3000+ years
india has never been united as one nation, one people, while china basically always has besides durring civil wars

also mandate of heaven

India and China only have two things in common; they are both in asia, and both have huge populations

in every single way besides that they are night and day different

That's what I get for being a phone fag. I apologize, I meant swing the bat.
But yes, I look to make one move a day. Sometimes I don't do anything, but sometimes I make three or four buys. I like safe stuff with divs, but I also like to make small, quick gains like I hope to do with DUDE WEED this Thursday. I could stand to be more patient at times, but I'm pretty good at avoiding the FOMO.

>From what I can tell, it only takes one good move each day to make it.

Less than that. One a week will put you in good standing. Priority number one is to protect your profits. That means no yolo hodl through a bunch of bearish bullshit just because you think it might pop again at some point in time who knows. If a stock is not cooperating with your theory, meaning your reason for buying it in the first place, yank your position and try again on something else. A good bull break always has more steam to it than just one day of green. Just like a good solid crash is more than a single day of dumping if you're short.

Don't be afraid to be all cash waiting for the right entry setup. This is the most dangerous time as a trader. When you're twiddling your thumbs being bored, see nothing worthwhile. Getting antsy that you're not doing anything. The danger is hopping in on something just for the sake of feeling like you're getting something done.

Why does all this info online always recommend some boomer tier portfolio even if you are 20-30 years from retirement with a bunch of bonds and awful 'stable' with no growth stocks?

Why if I am in my 20s would I not be in 100% stocks? Many articles I have seen recommend anywhere between 1-2.5x leverage long term is ideal returns for SP500 and NDX, why are people having portfolios with leverage .8 or even less (accounting for bonds being basically worthless).

Is this just boomer tier "I hate legitimate returns because I love working for 50 years when I could have retired after 22?"

i mean ive traded bonds a lot this year because theyve had nice easy swings that are good for long options. and this wouldnt be the first time ive seen the yields get puffed up to their near term peak, just BARELY before some sort of intl panic sets in. in fact from the perspective of the bigboy bond trader this makes a lot of sense as theyre buying million dollar lots of the actual securities, so getting the slightly better yield is actually very important for those planning to hold to maturity.

im just hoping this is the event that just got realized that they were puffing yields up for.

this whole time ive been thinking i knew what part of the cycle this has been going through and w good success riding the waves of intl FUD, rate hikes etc...

but then i see shit like pic related and i think about how unnaturally hard the large specs (central banks) are pushing up on the 2yr. and it still couldnt even stop the yields from rising. i fear that this whole environment is so artificial i shouldnt be looking at historical data to judge it.

but i know that this means more rate hikes and the way theyve backed off long bonds as well, recently, says the same thing. thats coming within the next few weeks so idk if itll bounce at this point. i suppose itll have to if panic ensues

That's a bad question. You should sell when you believe you've hit the top or near the top of a run of a stock.

You'll see after a while that stocks over react to news often so they spike or drop too much. On a drop you can buy, and on a spike you can sell and rebuy later if you have an idea of what the stock should be worth.
