Wondering if its a good idea using some of my crypto gains. How hard can it be? U remodel a shop in the style u think is cool. Get a bunch of stuff from coffee suppliers and maybe grab some cute baristas from the local starbucks to work saying they have total freedom to be creative in your shop.

Business-tier coffee machines cost 30k. Same-tier grinders are all over 1000. Then you need to pay for maintenance and up-keep. The machines require filtered water because they fuck up over time.

Then you need reliable employees. The people who work these jobs are generally lower tier, but you can get away with no hiring niggers if ur the owner which will save you some headache.

Real estate + the rent will cost you the most. Strip malls charge a literal fuck ton for rent. You need to be strategically placed to get traffic.

if you can't see how you just answered your own question then you need to take some absic economics classes. the barrier to entry on starting a coffee shop is minimal. if you somehow manage to make any real profit someone else will just open another one next door because it costs very little.

You're about 12 years too late on the coffee shop trend, anon. If you'd had this idea in my town in 2006, and hired all the coffee autists that the successful one hired, you'd be doing great. But there's been like 8 competitors that have come and gone since, not counting chains like Dunkin or Starbucks. A good barista isn't something you can train someone to be in a month or two at a busy shop. Like others have said, you need employees who are passionate and devoted, and have a respect for their "craft". Your post seems to show that you think it's silly and trivial, so I doubt you'd be able to convince anyone to work for you if you don't have a passion.

I was in Hamburg last year and me and my girlfriend saw something genius there. I assume most of you already know this concept. But in my country I never saw this concept. It was just a big counter with a salad bar and you could put together your own salad (employe behind counter doing it for you) and choose like 8 ingredients or more depending on how much you paid and they get bread with it. There were also some fresh made soups and ice tea's. It was cheap too like 12 euro for a big salad plus drink. The ingredients were nice too, not only stuff like pic related but tuna.. chicken.. to make it a complete salad meal.

In my hometown this would be golden.

I had an idea for a coffee shop too that I'd like to share here since I have no plans to realize it. I actually hate coffee and don't want anything to do with it, I just wanted to rob coffee lovers of their money.

Right so the coffee preperation centre is in the middle of the shop, and all the walls and counters and see through materials so that everyone can see the coffee being made. All the beans are roasted in store using one of those old aif puffing devices. You hire male models or male strippers to come in the store and physically pump the air onto the fire, to roast the beans which are going on a converyer belt under the floor which is also see through material so everyone can watch the coffee bean roasting assembly line as well as watching all the topless muscled up chads working the roasting machines. Then once the beans are roasted on the conveyor it comes back to the center and is made into the drink by the barista which again will be a male. The male barista's and waiters will serve coffee personally to each table topless.

This will bring in all the women to the coffee shop, and all the hipster faggot homosexuals who like coffee to my store as well. As they say coffee shops aren't so much about the coffee, but the culture and community and a meeting point. So it will attract a lot of faggots and women.

In my area the next big thing is Ramen. There's very few good ones and every time one opens it explodes in business immediately. I'm in the process of buying a restaurant in this downtown area.
